If not here's a quick explanation: The 1st anniversary of this 5sos community will be celebrated with the exclusive #AminoAwards. There are different categories to vote for. EVERYONE can vote and nominate people by writing a blog with the right hashtags.

There will also be 3 different monthly challenges. Each one lasts from the 9th to the next month (9th day). This month we have the challenge: link)

This one shot was written by OuterSpace it's called 'saved'. Hope you'll like it :blush: .

"And then he just smiled, his yellow knitted sweater slightly slipping off his shoulders as he pushed back the hair that fell in front of his eyes in slight waves. He smiled, there was sunshine beaming through the windows and they bounced off of the softened angles of his face, illuminating them in a diluted shade of gold."

Michael yawned, his tired eyes creasing at the edges as he squinted at the bright light of his laptop screen.

It was 3am; he was too tired for any of the words he used to be visceral- and that was the one thing that he wanted.

Every single light in the house was on- That made the empty building seem less lonely. That, and although he would never openly it it, he was afraid of the dark. Another yawn escaped his lips and he rubbed the sleep from his eyes, his slightly dysfunctional fingers moving around clumsily on the laptop keyboard.

"Would you like to save file 'So Lonely'?"

He innerly chuckled at the title, but then sighed at the harsh reality of the truth that it held.

"File 'So Lonely' saved."

As Michael slipped further into his sofa crease, and he drifted in an out of sleep with each anticipated clock chime, he realised the dilemma on hand. He could either stay here, as he was too lazy, drained, and frankly comfortable to leave the sofa, and then wake up with the worst backache- or he could get up, turn off all the lights in the house, get into some other clothes and then climb into bed- and the thought of that was just too disgruntling and required too much effort for 3am.

The sound of cardboard and plastic bags rustling in an all too familiar way slightly sounded from the kitchen, and a sigh of reluctance came from Michael's mouth.

"Calum, at least warn me if you're gonna drop by at three in the morning, you never even told me you were back from LA- Cal?" The rustling stopped. "Calum, can you get me a drink?" Michael groaned, sliding further yet into the sofa. "Cal, please." He dragged out the 'e' with each centimetre he went down.

"I-I don't know who Calum is." A small voice said, slightly fuzzy and completely unidentifiable. Michael was pretty sure, almost positive that this was a voice he had never heard before.

"E-Excuse me?" He almost fell off of the sofa in an uncomfortable heap as he stumbled using his own limbs, in the hurry to get up. "What do you mean? You are Calum, right?" Michael pressed his back against the kitchen door, once he managed to get his legs to work.

"I'm not Calum." The voice said, accompanied by the rustling again. Michael held his breath, and slightly nudged the door open with his elbow.

"Are you going to punch me, steal my stuff or kill me?"

"No, why would I do that?"

"That's what they all say." Michael's eyes narrowed. "Please, get out of my house, or I'll call the police." He said calmly- Because that's what would help if there was a potential murderer behind his ajar kitchen door, isn't it?

"But.. Why would you do that? Now there's another person in your house, and you're not lonely!" Michael stopped, any gears in his head grinding to a halt as he lost any reasonable, rational way of thinking.

"Excuse me-" He opened the door wide open, and a boy- Man, rather, of around 18- sat on the tabletop, his legs dangling off of the edge and not hitting the ground, one of his hands holding a box of crunchy nut cereal, and the other covering his mouth. "What do you mean I'm lonely?" With an embarrassingly noticeable voice crack, Michael stared long and hard at whatever was in front of him; Surprisingly, more concerned about the fact that this boy knew he felt lonely, than the fact that there was a stranger sat on his tabletop at 3am.

The eerie thing was, he recognized the face from somewhere. It was slightly guilty and it's cheeks were filled with crunchy nut, but there was something about the blue in his eyes that Michael just couldn't put a finger on. So close to ing, and yet so far away from reach.

"I know you-"

"Good to know." The boy continued to funnel the cereal into his mouth with his fingers, decidedly choosing that he wasn't going to get in trouble for it. "You should."

"-But.. I don't know from where."

"Rude." the boy swallowed, and set down the cereal beside him. "You're the one who created my entire being, and you haven't even given me a name yet. I'm just, 'The Boy'. Or 'Him'. How am I supposed to formally introduce myself if that information doesn't exist yet?"

And then it clicked- As little sense as it made, it clicked.

The startlingly bright blue eyes, streaked with green and a ring of pale yellow around the pupil, and the slightly floppy blond hair that just about reached his ear on the right. The yellow knitted sweater, two sizes too large so that it slumped off of his shoulders and covered up to his knuckles.

"You're.. You're like the boy from my-" Michael peered at him, curiously. "But- Here? How did you-"

"I don't know why, I don't know how, and I don't have a name. Can you give me one? I feel unappreciated." The boy gazed at him expectantly.

"Oh.. I-I hadn't thought about that yet-"

"Charming. Anything at all?"

"U-Uh.. Luke?" The boys ears pricked up.

"Cool. Luke's cool." Luke propped himself against the table, his hands growing closer to the cereal. "Hello Michael. I'm Luke and I want to be here so that you don't have to be lonely." He beamed, a small dimple poking his right cheek. "I want to be your friend."

"Friendships aren't supposed to be built on lies- You told me you weren't going to steal my things, and yet here you are, stealing my cereal."

"It's.. It's cereal?"

"I don't care! It's my Crunchy Nut!" Michael yawned. "If I go to sleep right now will you still be here to be my friend in the morning?"

"Depends." Luke reluctantly put the cereal back into the cupboard. "Are you going to give me a boring storyline or kill me off or kill a member of my family in a tragic accident?"

"I'll try not to."

"Good, cause then I'll come after you, and your crunchy nut. Night, Michael."

"Goodnight."
