what's weird is even though I have updates turned off it STILL updated on it's own. Only thing I've seen so far is I can images and gifs again (I'm an android btw) It wouldn't let me do that since last year. so far haven't seen this issue YET
Yea mine was the same way, I had updates turned off and it updated anyways

A Google Drive link with the photos is probably the best option to counter this... I had to do that during an event lol
I having that same issue as an iOS
It’s just showing me my folders I’ve made and not my full gallery
So should I make a folder and try that way or is all of your photos just gone?

The best thing to do rn is to make a new album and add the pictures you need till this hopefully gets fix
