Cha Hae In is just so bad man

And I don’t mean that as a complement.

Like seriously dude. Solo Leveling does not have good side characters…

…Or good characters for that matter.

But these female characters in particular just make my eyes roll into the back of my head. Every one of them that is not mc’s family is terrible. (Even them I just don’t dislike. And I think they work as plot devices/motivation)

Only reason I say Cha Hae In particular is so terrible is because she is more prominent than the others.

This girl has no personality at all outside of “uwu Sun-senpai! I’m so nervous! I hope he doesn’t think I’m weird!” (Trust me when I say it hurt me more to write that then it hurt you to read it)

And no, I don’t think having a sensitive nose and a dislike of how other hunters smell counts, because 1) that’s so freaking arbitrary and weirdly specific and 2) that’s just another expression of the “personality trait” I just spoke of above. “Oooo, my beloved Sun-senpai is the only one who smells good to meeee!”

She’s just a simp.

She has no noteworthy motivations. No internal conflict. No arcs she’s undergoing. No emotions. No real feats or cool moments. No levity. No drive. No agency (This girl cannot accomplish ANYTHING noteworthy, but then again that’s everyone outside mc in solo leveling)

No maidens. No father figure. No nothing, dude.

I hate Zero Two. Or at least I used to towards the beginning of that Anime I regret watching. And I can’t really think of a female character I’ve disliked more.

But man….

At least Zero Two is an actual character, man. At least somewhat.

I don’t dislike Cha Hae In as much I did Zero Two, but that’s because I don’t feel much of anything towards Cha Hae In besides occasional annoyance.

Whether at her, or because the only thing they can actually figure out to do with this character is random, strange fan-service…

…which I just LOVE in all anime and want all anime ever to incorporate and continue doing forever because I just LOVE it so much.

Final rating of this “character” is a Genshin Impact reject/10.
