Zane Verdell and Fen Aecor :zap: :sparkles:

Hello again! Today I created new art for Zane Verdell, a character that appears in Sunrise, book 2 of Star Keeper. I’ll keep the description short for those who’d like to read his story when it’s published, but he’s a volatile star keeper with morally ambiguous motivations. He serves as an antagonist character that works separately from the main villainous group, E.V.E Corp.

Zane’s object/artifact that contains his magic is a watch from his long lost parents.

His spirit, Fen Aecor, is Varsha’s estranged brother who died long after his sister.

Fen pined for the throne in secret, so once Varsha and his royal parents were slain by E.V.E Corp’s forces, he seized the opportunity, bargaining with the enemy and giving locations of the Deviants that were left in order to keep his position of power, his magic, and his life. Unfortunately, E.V.E Corp’s founder never intended to keep him alive for good, so once their deal lost its usefulness and the other Deviants had died, the founder had Fen killed as well. The spell that had spared Varsha’s soul kept Fen’s intact after death as well, binding him to Zane. Even as a spirit, Fen plots to take his kingdom back and become king again-at any cost. This includes manipulating Zane with cruelty and lies in order to achieve his wicked ends.
