I killed the one that cared for me

I killed the one that helped me

I killed the one that loved me

And the world asked why

And his eyes shouted promise

And his eyes shouted righteousness

And his eyes shouted forgiveness

I killed the one that cared for me

As she took her dying breath

As she swore the world’s life

As she left those she defended

I killed the one that cared for me

Yet his soul lived on

Yet his body was ed

Yet his creator never stopped

I killed the one that cared for me

His death proved I was strong

His death proved I was human

His death proved I was a fool for curiosity

I killed the one that cared for me

And at the curtain's close...
