Hey there! Our dear brother Mr.W is hosting this amazing challenge this weekend and I am very excited to see the choices of our Community when it comes to split albums.

Here are some I love and appreciate:

NECROMANTIA / VARATHRON - Black Arts / The Everlasting Sins (1992.)

What can I say? I'm a simple woman, I see Necromantia - I instantly like. Their raw, occult,unique sound is something I simple adore,especially when you keep in mind they made it without using guitars - it's pure bass ecstasy! Rest in Power, Baron Blood,you were one of a kind!

Don't want to underestinate the VARATHRON side, no way, those oldtimers gave us a solid piece of them here,too! Great Split from early times!

GYOTRELEM / HAUNTED SANITY (2019.)

GYOTRELEM belongs to Inner Awakening Circle, group of Hungarian BM musicians which I already made a blog about back then. Yeah,quite interesting artist. HAUNTED SANITY strikes from UK,with its a bit claustrophobic sound, and together they bring a tasteful portion of raw sound I just love.

SATANIC WARMASTER / ARCHGOAT -Lux Satanae (Thirteen Hymns Of Finnish Devil Worship) (2015.)

I think this needs no explanation,but if needed, I must tell that my favourite SWM stuff here is that headbanging Satanic Winter,which actually is Pest cover. What a great energizing thing it is, with a beautiful solo part! But... ARCHGOAT...damn, I'm speechless! Probably my favourite Finnish band, together with ImpNaz, of course! Eternal hails to those bastards who kept that evil & bestial spirit through decades!

ARCKANUM / SVARTSYN - Kaos Svarta Mar / Skinning The Lambs (2004.)

An absolute masterpiece of Sweddish BM when it's about Split albums!

NORWEGIAN EVIL /TAAKE /AMOK /URGEHAL - A Norwegian Hail To VON (2006.)

A tribute done very well, primitive and obscure, just like it should be when you are covering VON. I especially like URGEHAL here, it sounds very sexy!
