aesthetic bcs that's what i wanna talk about

but first of all,

if you're not gonna read it all cuz it looks long or boring or you just opened to see what this is and are not gonna read it all, you better not bother reading bits of this blog.

now coming straight to the point

why am i writing this? what's the point?

i'm writing this cuz i'm frustrated. the point is each and everyday this community looses it's dignity. each and everyday talent fades from this used-to-be amazing place. it's frustrating. to me and to many others here. no this place is not amazing anymore. this is not what this place used to be. i don't see content here and i don't see people opening up. by opening up i mean a number of things, like, show casing their talents, making new friends, expressing themselves through their blogs, how they felt making it or if they feel like improving, no one asks for constructive criticism anymore.

as a person who have been through seasons with this place, who has seen different seasons of this community, i can sadly say, that the best season is long gone. and that breaks my heart...

but seasons do come back after a certain time. and i can see that time coming. i know we all can once again come together and become better than ever. but i can never do it alone.

alone it's just my dream but together it can be our goal.

to change everything, i need everyone.

every single one of us.

i know not many are gonna read my boring af rant. but if by chance, you've made it so far without skipping a word... are you with me?

wanna see what "amazing" place i'm talking about?

wanna know what you've missed?

together, with motivation and a little guidance, we can turn this place into a family again. let's change from " when we used to" to "let's do it now!"

i have a lot of plans, but i won't do anything until i get that response from each one of [you|ndc://-me].

i don't care if it's positive or negative. i won't criticize you. i just want to go through everyone's mind. to see what this place is for people who are still keeping this place alive by blogging, lurking or by chatting. don't be afraid, you can even pm me your positive/negative opinions, i don't mind.

something i want everyone to realise ]

! this is completely my thinking !

i've noticed that we post more complex blogs than people in ara. but still we know that they're far better than us. why? well, the main reason is because they prefer content over aesthetic-ness and here it's just the opposite!

i'm not pointing out certain s here but if you think that i'm pointing you out then ask yourself, why do you think it's you? maybe because somewhere you also forced yourself to work harder for that so called "standard" of blogging. if this is the answer then let me know.

i've seen hella aesthetic blogs just for 4 edits to dump! no i'm not criticizing aesthetic people for their aesthetic-ness but i just wanna ask... what is the point of it? i'm sure the amount of time you took to make the blog aesthetic would be enough to add a few more edits to your edit dump or did something more productive with that time in real life. afterall, the blog was to be focused on your edits but what's the point when people appreciate the blog more than what you made that blog for? it's like fish tank more than the fish itself.

pretty simple right? might take barely 20 mins for some of you, but look at the time, it took me 3 hours and 30 minutes! damn that's waaay too much time! but why it took so long? maybe because of my ocd or maybe because i'm a perfectionist, i need things just right. whatever it is, it took so long for a simple edit so now imagine how long i take for my so called aesthetic blogs? it's the expectations that force me to spend my time on these non profiting things.

i've heard things like "i know your blog will be very aesthetic !" which makes me work harder to maintain that "aesthetic" level of blogging. but when i think of it, i don't when was the last time someone told me "damn i wanna see your content so bad !".

basically, what i mean is, i wanna crush that "standard" tag that i have on myself and also free other people who are being crushed from it. no i don't wanna stay up all night to work on an aesthetic blog anymore because it's expected from me. i wanna see more content than aesthetics. i won't appreciate anyone's blog from now on who doesn't have time to create just enough content but has the time to make aesthetic slides for their so little content.

i'm coming back down to normal and decent blogging because everyone starts from the bottom. we all did. our talented newbies need time to learn things from us too. when i think of it, they see complex blog aesthetics when they don't even know on which app they're being made on. i'm sure it makes them feel that their blogs are not so pleasing to our eyes. this is a huge demotivation. i've faced this in tasa as well so i know how they feel. they make content with a simple blog but honestly, they're doing something way better than me. they're making fanarts when i'm procrastinating on my duties towards this community.

again, i'm not against any of those amazingly aesthetic blogs but just don't do it if you don't want to. don't wait for days because your "slides" are not ready. do it only if you want to! i'll also do it only when i want to.

i'll focus more on content from now on and will try to help others as far as i can to learn these editing skills. i'll help newbies know how simple is also an aesthetic in it's own. i'll help them improve. i just wanna let them know that they're no less valuable for aia if they don't make that level of blogs. let's walk from the bottom to the top again!

i hope i did not offend anyone. i wanna know what you guys think about it. also i'll use #noaesthetics in my blog when i feel like i'm getting over the blogging standard. if you feel so too, please use the tag. i wanna see if i'm the only one who felt this way.

random fact: when this community had barely 10,000 , the likes on extremely simple blogs were 90+ and now with 20,000+ we barely see 70 likes

well that's enough rant for today. i wanted to make it very short but somewhere emotions got me lol. i just wanna bring a healthy change. also this has nothing to do with mod team or community rules etc. just my movement(?) lmao.
