Part 20 – The Storm That Lingers
1:17 PM – Safe House Infirmary
The room was too quiet.
Machines beeped steadily, the only sign that Y/n was still holding on. Her skin was pale, her breathing shallow. Jimin hadn’t moved from her side since the night before.
His hand held hers like it was the only thing keeping her in this world.
Jimin (whispers):
“You promised me... you said I wouldn’t lose you. So don’t you dare break that promise now.”
The door creaked open behind him.
Jungkook & Hani Return
Hani:
“Jimin.”
Jimin looked up, his eyes tired and bloodshot.
Jimin:
“Hani...? Jungkook?”
They both stood there, dressed in black, their faces grim.
Jungkook:
“We came as fast as we could. We heard what happened.”
Hani rushed to Y/n’s side, tears falling as she brushed hair from her sister’s forehead.
Hani (choking up):
“She looks so weak… how bad is it?”
Sunmi (from the doorway):
“She lost a lot of blood. The bullet missed her heart, but the damage was serious. She’s fighting.”
A Terrifying Revelation
Jungkook:
“You think it’s over.”
Everyone in the room turned toward him.
Jungkook (coldly):
“It’s not. Mr. Kim may be dead… but his power wasn’t.”
Hani (nodding):
“We went to check the rest of his network. And what we found…”
She pulled out a phone and threw it on the table. A video began to play—grainy, timestamped just a few hours earlier.
Mr. Kim’s second-in-command, Minho, was standing in front of a group of armed men.
Minho (on the video):
“Mr. Kim’s plan doesn’t end with his death. The girl was only the first. Park Jimin took our leader from us. We will take everything from him… starting with her.”
Tension Rises
Jimin (growling):
“He knew. He planned this.”
Yoongi (stepping in):
“We need to move her. This place isn’t safe anymore.”
Jennie:
“We’ll split. Some of us escort Y/n and the wounded to the new location. The rest of us hunt Minho down.”
Sunmi:
“No more mistakes. We finish this.”
Jimin’s POV – Alone With Y/n
Everyone was rushing to plan the next move. But Jimin stayed, forehead resting against Y/n’s hand.
Jimin (softly):
“I’m not losing you. And I’m not running anymore.”
He pulled a ring from his pocket—the one he meant to give her after the wedding in Hawaii.
Jimin (placing it in her hand):
“You wake up… and I’ll put this on you myself.”
Tears fell onto her sheets. She still didn’t move.
But her fingers twitched.
Just once.
Barely noticeable.
But enough.
