A different kind of journaling

I know, I know. I'm shook as

well, don't worry.

HA. Nopeee.

If you read my last blog,

you might I men-

tioned that I changed my bullet

journal system. Well, this is

going to be the topic of today's

blog since I've been meaning to

share it for a while now anyway.

It originally started off with the

#LessPlasticSeptember challenge

from the SAA and the Earth Club.

I had a very hard time trying to

figure out how to only use one

supply made out of plastic, but

settled down on a brush pen from

pentel in the end. The Winsor &

Newton watercolors I used are

unfortunately packaged in plastic

as well, but nothing I can do about

it really. The tubes are hella expen-

sive and not really a proper alter-

native for a student. T T

About the painting, I shamelessly

copied @lostswissmiss's painting

from instagram. I really just used

different colors, that's why I dare

not to say that I only got "inspired"

by her. lol But it was just too pretty.

About the general structure of the

spreads, I tried to keep it simple.

Like really simple because I basically

have this sketchbook - or watercolor

book actually - standing on my table

like a calendar for the whole month.

It includes a mini calendar and also

a sort of timetable for my lectures.

I also have a relatively big to do list

section that I still have to get used

to. If something comes up I just

write it down and later on tick it off

if the event is over. Or I cross it out

completely if for some reason it's

not gonna happen.

I've never been the most consitent

with journaling, even if I want to. A

little while ago I went through my

very first journal and I realized just

how much my style has changed

and how far away it actually is from

the classic bullet journal system. Or

even just how I interpreted it at the

beginning. And while that obviously

isn't bad (everyone can have their

own style after all), I still felt bad

about it. My journal didn't really help

me on a day to day basis anymore

and I can't make the whole planning

part fit either. Heck, I haven't been

using monthlies for over a year now

and I stopped using weeklies even

before that. So yeah, this new style

that I'm trying out certaintly helped

with this problem a good bit and it

definitely was necessary with uni

going on at the moment. lol

Well, okay, yeah, that's it for this blog

before you experience me fangirling.
