Hello everyone! I’m back with a Reading Journal update!

I’ve been keeping up with this journal a lot better this year and it’s so fun! I’m loving how it’s turning out, and I’ve been doing a lot of full-page spreads with craft paper, which is really bulking up my journal lol. It’s almost full, and I’ll probably have to switch mid-yearish. It’ll be fun, I think, to try something new in my next one.

Anyways, I hope y’all like all of these pages! I’m very happy with them. If you have any book recommendations of any genre, I’d love to hear them!

I love all of these! My favorites are the black background with white writing and the one covered entirely in purple! How did you cover that entire page without having issues with the actual journal page? I've messed up the actual page in some form before trying to cover it and it doesn't look nearly as seamless as yours.

Well, you should cut the paper to the right size and crease it through the middle before gluing it down. I then do one half at a time, using a tombow adhesive roller and a glue stick (dont use liquid glue!), starting at the center crease and working your way outwards. The trick is to secure the paper snug against the crease of the journal, and line it up straight with the edge. Again, doing one half at a time helps a lot! Once you secure one side correctly you can glue the other one a lot easier.

This works best with bound journals that lay flat, and that have thicker pages. Thin pages don’t hold the glue as well and are more susceptible to tearing.

It gets easier the more you do it, honestly. Thank you for the kind words and I hope this helps!

Looks great! I usually try not to use too much scrapbook paper in my journal even though I have tons, because I don't want to have pages fall out or the spine break. I do have an art journal with a spiral binding for that kind of stuff. I :two_hearts: scrapbook supplies.

I have had spine problems in the past but the journals I use are reallyyyy hardy, and have withstood a lot of my abuse lol. It would probably be smart not to use as much, but I just can't help it most of the time :joy:
