If you've ever worked with fuse beads or done some research on the different brands, you've probably heard of artkal. I heard a lot about them and since I only work with mini beads, I really wanted to test them out because they have so many colors! I have every perler mini color but artkal has at least 3 times what perler has in of colors.
I finally got my beads yesterday and I already love them! I was so eager to test them that I forgot to take out of the mail photos, so I had to use a screencap from my video.
I recorded a full test of the beads by themselves and mixed with perler, and that video should go up sometime next week. There's a sneak peek of the pieces I made in this blog post. Can you guess which piece is only artkal and which one is mixed?
I'm really excited about these because I want to make more detailed and shaded pieces. I can also build up a stock of nicer pieces with these so I can get my etsy shop going.
Have any of you tried artkal? Do you like how they melt? Comment if you have tried them, and if not make sure to check the video so you can decide if you want to try these out!
