Launch Image Entry June :leaves:

Hi guys, it’s finally time to post my craft for the Launch image contest #CLIC21 - June.

For this month I have made a polymer clay hummingbird. I have been putting a lot of time on this and it was like the first bigger polymer clay creation I have made. It was really a challenge for me to make.🤔

I started to shape the hummingbird of just white clay and after baking I was painting it. I used a few shimmery acrylic paints and some sparkling nail polish. It was important for me to get a lot of shimmer and glitter on it to make it looks like a real hummingbird. Of course the real ones doesn’t have glitter but they do shimmer a lot. I was also working a lot to blend the colors into each other to make a cool ombré effect. I have never been working so much on the coloring as I did in this project. I use to take different colors on the clay and not use so much paint. :art:

I got my inspiration from Pinterest. I saw a picture on a hummingbird and made my own design.

What I like about the craft is that is so colorful. I love colors because it makes me happy. I’m very proud on my painting work. It’s so shiny!It’s even more shiny in real than the picture.

I think this would make a really good launch image because first of all it’s going to fit great for the month June. It gives you a big summer feeling and it’s really welcoming. Second of all my creation is a well worked and creative craft. It’s something unique. :sparkles:

At least I do hope that you all like the photo I have been taking. If you just know how much I worked with that! I have been walking around in my garden like a hundred times and also searching for good places in the area where I live. I think that the photo is very important and especially when it is for a launch image contest
