Family Spirituality

Greetings all! As this is the Eclectic Utopia, I'm sure there are a whole range of spiritual backgrounds of this community have. My own family history on the spiritual path is pretty amusing to me. I wrote a poem explaining what's so funny.

Amusing Family Tree

Come one and all, I invite you

If you so should please

To listen to a family tale

Of amusing history

A couple generations back

Not too long ago

of my family tree

Worked hard to save lost souls

Missionaries of the Lord

Spreading word of Christ

They went all the way to India

Eating endless plates of rice

Now my father goes to India

But there he does not preach

For back here in America

Are the souls he longs to reach

To inform them of karma

And of reincarnation

Perhaps it's only me

But I hold appreciation

For the funny Cosmic twist

Twined through my family tree

Preaching of Hinduism

Preaching Christianity

As for my own little view

From my solitary twig

I need not save anyone

But to all, my love I'll give
