As she dropped her bag, Hannah sighed. Today had been her first day at her new school. She didn't really make any friends and no one seemed interested in her, not even the teachers. So she went upstairs and jumped onto her bed, opened her laptop she started looking through horse deals. She came across a flashy looking buckskin, 'Stunning Kinda Chap, 5 year old Australian Stock Horse' read the article. He was beautiful, and looked so intelligent.

She scrolled down and noticed that he was only an hours drive away from her home. She read more and decided that he was worth looking at, so she asked her mum if she could go see. She said that she wasn't busy, so they could go whenever it suited the owners.

Hannah gasped as they rounded the corner and started heading up the driveway, these stables were emaculate! There were paddocks going up either side of the driveway with healthy looking horses in each. They pulled into the parking space and got out. A young woman walked towards them, a warm smile on her face.

"Hi there, I'm Elisa, your Hannah and Kate?"

"Yes, I'm Hannah," she said "This place is beautiful!"

"Isn't it, I'm the owner of these stables and I'm very proud of it" She beamed

They went and got Stunning Kinda Chap, also known as Luke. He was even better than in the photos, well muscled and very healthy looking. Hannah stepped forward and petted his soft pink nose. She felt an immediate connection. Hannah didn't believe in love at first sight but, maybe Luke changed that. He looked georgeous in his Hunter green matching saddlepad and earbonnet.

Hannah lead Luke over to the large showjumping arena, she got up and sat on him, he was very attentive. She squeezed with her legs and he walked off quickly, ears forward. Hannah smiled to herself as she knew that, he was coming home with her. She continued to warm up, first trotting then cantering. He was an amazing mover and had such a smooth canter. She pointed him at a small cross rail, he quietly cantered over it. And then after a few more jumps she then turned around to the right and took him to a larger jump, he sped up slightly and sprung over the oxer with a slight bit of hesitation.

Hannah continued to ride him for half an hour after that, and with every minute that ed she just fell more in love with Luke. Because Hannah liked riding bareback, she cooled him down without a saddle. He was picture perfect and had a mouth as soft as butter. He was a little nervous in Showjumping and alright at dressage, but he had the most potential in cross country. That's what Elisa told Hannah. After the ride Elisa showed Hannah some photos of him competing last year. He looked amazing and Hannah was sure that he was going home with her.

So Hannah bought him! He was going to stay at Hollow Halls for a few days while they were sorting out paperwork for Firwood Stables. Although she was exhausted, Hannah was too excited to get much sleep. But when she was asleep, she was dreaming about her and Luke flying over 1.20m jumps and even making it to the olympics! It was a bit far fetched, but Hannah believed that one day it could happen.
