This is my entry for the #PetAsHorseEA challenge! I am using my two dogs, (Very original ;)) Emmy and Teddy as the pets I'm gonna 'ponyify' ;)

So, the fur children...

INTRODUCING....

Teddy

Ted is a rising 3 year old, Jack Russel Terrier. He is an absolute brat but I love him (not sure if the feelings are mutual :confounded: ) Teddy stands at about 30cm at the withers and is surprisingly strong (He has muscles bigger than my future 🙃).

Teddy is very Athletic, he loves running around our property (and the surrounding farms :grimacing: ) when we take him on walks they are more like runs. He has endless energy and will play for a whole day. He is smart, probably too smart for his own good. Because when you are not looking, he will run under our (raised) house and then run to the cow farm that's 70m up our road and eat the cow poop :poop: He won't return for at least half an hour :joy:

The horse that would best suit Teddy is...

I think He would be an Icelandic horse (not to be mistaken with a pony) Icelandics are from Iceland, believe it or not. They are quite short, ranging from 12.3 - 13.2hh, but are still considered horses. I saw this information as fitting, since Teddy considers himself the size of a German Shephard. They are very strong and fast (like Teddy) and are great all round competition horses.

Of course he would be a chestnut skewbald, seeing as he is a chestnut pinto pupper. He would be about 5 years old, as he is quite young. He would probably be a bit of a troublemaker, escaping from his paddock, doing little bucks while being ridden, stuff like that. He would probably be ridden in the discipline of endurance. He loves to just run and run and run and run and.. you get the point, so endurance would be perfect for his adventurous spirit. If he had a showname it would be 'Teddy Bear Picnic'

Now for doggo numero dos,

Emmy

Emmy is a Boxer x Staffie, she is the same age as Teddy (rising 3) and they are inseparable, best of friends. Emmy loves doing agility and tricks to please her owners.

She is extremely athletic and can jump over a meter high. She is extremely fast and strong. She is a gentle girl and loves our kitten. She is friendly with the horses. But in public she is extremely protective of us and Teddy. She stands at about 50cm at the withers. As I said I have trained her to do agility and she excels at it.

Emmy would probably be a Trakehner, this breed is well known in the eventing world and was bred in East Prussia (now a part if Poland) These horses are extremely athletic and very popular in the competition world. They excel in eventing, and I think Emmy would too, if she was a horse. They range from 16 - 16.2hh and are very influenced by Thoroughbreds.

Emmy is a bridle doggo, and while bridle horses exist, they are fairly rare. So I settled for a nice bay instead. She would probably be around 7 years old, so an adult. She would be a good girl that was very forward whole being ridden. She would get a bit anxious when left alone and is quite friendly but dominant. She would be ridden in eventing, since she loves to run and jump. She has great stamina and control. That would suit her because of those reasons and I would want her to be happy. If she had a showname it would probably be: Show and Tell.
