Flicka’s breeder who owned her at the time always wanted a horse named Flicka. Her previous owner then changed her name to Flick, then we changed it back to Flicka when we purchased her. She got her ed name from her grandsire ACS Ultimate Dream.

Flicka has quite a few well known horses in her pedigree, ACS Ultimate Dream who is a leading sire in the Pacific Northwest, Wild Again the 1984 Breeder’s Cup Classic winner, Free At Last who won many Grade 1 races, and Princequillo who is the grandsire of the great Secretariat.

Flicka was foaled in Oregon, before she was sold to a barrel racer at the age of 2. At 8 years old, Flicka was sold again to a good friend Michelle Walker, who we then purchased her from.
