So you know games like Diamond and Pearl that get a third game (in this case, Platinum)? Well, what if Sword and Shield had one?
Now we all loved to joke about Pokemon Gun, but lets be a bit serious here.
So here's three traits that are present in both Zacian and Zamazenta that I NEED to add to this third pupper to make them really fit in.
1. Their names come from colors of CMYK printer ink (cyan and magenta)
2. They are based on objects from the legend of King Arthur (Excalibur the sword and Wynebgwrthucher or Pridwen the shield)
3. They are probably also based on characters from the legend of King Arthur (King Arthur and Morgan le Fay)
So what does this mean for this third legendary (sorry Eternatus)?
Well, based on these three things, I will make its name derive from the color yellow, the Holy Grail, and Merlin. However, Zacian and Zamazenta also have another thing; their signature moves.
Their signature moves may be based on wolves from Norse mythology. Zacian's Behemoth Blade may have references to Hati and Zamazenta's Behemoth Bash may have references to Skoll. Because of this, I'm going to make the third one's move reference Fenrir, another wolf.
Now that I've gone over some details, let me introduce to you...
Zavellow
The Warrior Pokemon
Type: Psychic (Hero of Many Battles) Psychic/Steel (Crowned Grail)
Signature Ability: Venturous Grail (raises the Evasion of this Pokemon by one stage upon entering battle)
Signature Move: Colossal Cure (heals all allies and itself of any status conditions and lowered stats) - Steel type
Height: 9'04"
Weight: 352.7 lbs. (Hero of Many Battles) 1256.6 lbs. (Crowned Grail)
So obviously, this one's name derives from "the yellow" like for Zacian is the cyan or how Zamazenta is the magenta.
The Psychic type is because Merlin is a magician.
The height and weight are the average of Zacian and Zamazenta's heights and weights.
Anyways, let me describe to you the design.
Hero of Many Battles
Zavellow has yellow fur on its back and head with black on its underbelly and legs. It has black scars on its yellow fur. It has short and scraggly white fur coming from its head and chin. Its tail is long and thin and the fur on it is black. It has broken chains on its front and back legs.
Crowned Grail
(This description is built off of the previous one so I don't have to retype it all)
Its white head and chin fur is long and flowing. It has a pointy hat made of the same gold material as Zacian's sword and Zamazenta's shield, but with yellow accents. It also gains similarly made boots. Along with both of these, it holds a grail in its tail that contains a never-ending amount of magical liquid that can heal any wound. The chains on its legs become golden.
Lore
Zavellow was originally never going to attempt to stop Eternatus on the Darkest Day. Why would it want to when the sword that can cut anything and the shield that cannot be cut are already on their way? However, the rampant Dynamaxed Pokemon all across Galar were being troublesome for the human heroes (not Zacian or Zamazenta), so Zavellow came along as medical aid. However, Zavellow sneakily disappeared from the battle with Eternatus to end the Darkest Day because it didn't want to die (as one does). The reason there was no mention of Zavellow in Sword and Shield is because no one knew it existed because it wasn't there with Eternatus.
If you feel as if I missed any detail you think is important, comment what I missed so I can add it.
Anyways, farewell.
By the way if you want to try drawing Zavellow I'm not opposed ;)
