Shown in the picture is a bow cavalier (Lloyd Abyssal) that I'm trying to fuck around with in order to make this solo obtainable. In order for this to happen:
A) bow cavalier moves down two spaces to attack Kagero
B) bow cavalier moves left two spaces to attack Kagero, BUT gets hit with reposition by the adjacent lance cavalier.
These two scenarios are very particular, but they grant Kagero enough breathing room to prepare an attack to defeat the Lance Flier. However, neither seem to happen, despite numerous different positions of all units, including Kagero.
So far, I've only gotten the Lance Cav to move beside the Bow Cav, but not do anything else, or Reposition the Red Mage instead. 1 out of 5 different scenarios show that the Lance Cav won't Reposition the Mage, but that scenario only happens every so often if both the lance Cav and Red Mage move down.
Can anyone offer a possible suggest to manipulate the AI in such a way that either of the given scenarios are possible? Preferably the A scenerio?
I know this is a strange request, but it could very well mean the different of whether or not I get this solo.

Honestly, I’d watch PhoenixMaster’s F2P Abyssal Lloyd guide. He does three matches, and while you won’t do anything he does, he does do a lot of AI manipulation that could potentially prove helpful to watch to get ideas or possibly a solution.
Heck, he used a level 1 Valter (any level 1 flying blue Lance with low res works, but I suggest Valter) to manipulate the AI and it worked. WONDERS.
Sorry this might not help much, but from what I've learned, the AI will only reposition units if it makes the difference between them getting out of harm's way. Right now, I suppose Kagero is the only unit there, and Kagero will be able to hit the Bow Cavalier even if he gets repositioned, so the AI deems it useless.
One way you can make the Lance Cavalier reposition the Bow Cavalier is to make sure that there is a filler unit who is placed in a position where they can attack the Bow Cavalier, but will not be able to after the Bow Cavalier gets repositioned.
Tl;dr:
AI brain: Protecc allies, reposition them if it can save them from more danger.
You're a goddamn genius.
Just tried it out and it seems to work. I'll just need to figure the rest of it out.
Thanks mate! :+1:

Oh wow, really? :D No problem, glad to know it helped! Good luck, I look forward to seeing the video! :eyes:
I believe the problem lies within your filler units, if one of them is say a TA red flier then there is a small possibility (or a big one) that the lance cav will go downwards.
See, if that was the problem, I wouldn't be asking the question.
Even if the lance cav goes left with the bow Cav, he doesn't use reposition. Or he uses it on the red mage. And that's not including the fact that I don't need a red flier triggering the lancer moving down with the mage, let alone TA.
I'm trying a few different units and formations right now, but so far, none have given the desired end.

So wouldn't a breaker skill with the filler unit with the highest defense work? (I got the idea from Fallen Takumi solos, idk if it works here.)

I doubt it, but I might try.
AI manipulation factors in 2 main things from what I’ve seen, in my own experience.
The first thing that the AI factors is of course, Colour. If the AI is say, a blue mage, they’ll always seek out a red unit. This probably isn’t very helpful in this case since the target in question is a colourless bow, but I just thought I’d list it for anyone reading.
The second thing is effectiveness. If the unit has effective damage, they’ll seek out targets that they have effective damage against. This is of course effected by the aforementioned Colour priority, but if they don’t have colour advantage against anyone, they’ll just seek out units that they have effective damage against, regardless.
I’d say that your best bet is moving your fliers somewhere to the right side of the map. With any luck, that Bow cav will take the right strip of land instead of going along the left with the rest of the main force.
Alternatively, I’m not quite sure if this would ruin the solo since I haven’t done a solo and don’t quite know all the rules, but you could possibly find a tanky Flier that you may have slap Iotes on them, and just let them take a hit from the bow while Kagero deals with the rest of the units.
If you have a healer with Psychic, you could move them to the space right under the mountain that’s near your units, and you could even heal that Iotes flier up so they can continue to distract the Bow guy.
Best of luck btw, I know you can do it Kagebro
Welp this is indeed helpful
nice :ok_hand:
Kima wants to do a true solo, which means only the Kagero can enter combat. If any of her fillers got engaged in combat, the solo fails immediately.

Rip
If you reposition the Fliers way to the right side the bow SHOULD chase them over there, if that helps.
Trust me that guy can go to hell, he’s the reason I’m having trouble with this one.
It makes sense in theory, but in execution, I don't think it works. I tried about 7 different fliers in multitudes of different formations, even with them weaponless. It would require a VERY particular positioning if that's the case.
Seriously, if it weren't for Lloyd's and the fliers insane speed, I would be using Vanatge here to keep him off my ass.

Huh, that works for me. They must want to hit Kagero enough that they aren’t going for the fliers.
