Corrupted Chaos

Based on personal experience where my game of Blazing Blade decided to hard reset itself JUST when I reached the final chapter of the game. Several hours later, I do some research to find out that I bought some fake games, Blazing included.

So regarding the “fake game” topic, here are some things I learned by watching a few videos regarding the GBA and DS games (because I bought fake games of Blazing, Sacred, and Shadow Dragon):

GBA

-check for serial number above the official Nintendo logo (top right). If there’s none, it’s fake.

- check the design of the “Game Boy Advance” (above title). If you can feel the bumps, it’s fake.

-check the grammar and punctuation to see if it’s correct. Also check to see if it’s legible.

-(if possible) compare GBA games by insertion. If it slides easily, it’s real. If it requires some amount of effort, it’s fake. (Fake ones are usually bulkier because they’re built differently on the inside.)

-(personally wouldn’t recommend) unscrew the cartridge on the back. (Just know that by doing so, it “hard resets” itself.) If it has one of those watch batteries installed, it’s a fake. Real cartridges use special batteries to last for decades. Also, the way it’s set up is different from the real ones (just Google how the real ones look inside).

DS

-check the top of the cartridge for rectangular indentations. If there’s none, it’s fake.

-compare DS games by insertion. If it slides easily, it’s real. If it requires some amount of effort, it’s fake (because it’s bulky).
