I've been interested in Vtubers for a while now, starting with Kizuna Ai, then moving unto Mirai Akari, and finally in the trap that is the Vtuber group ホロリイブ (Hololive in English). If you have the time, I do recommend you check them out. There are tons of translated clips for those who can't understand Japanese, usually a few hopeful people in the chats when they're live, and each member has a distinct personality that you're bound to like one of them, although some not for the faint of heart :sweat_smile: . If I were to recommend a few, I would say わためさん (Watame), まつりさん (Matsuri), ミオさん (Mio), ノエルさん (Noel), and あくあさん (Aqua).

Note: As of a few days prior to this post's release, Mio and a few other are currently on a month long hiatus due to an on-going copyright battle with Capcom. You can see a bit more in this video and this article. If you're looking for streams of these girls, please do be wary of this, and certainly be mindful of what you say to them or the company.

New Heroes Take The Stage

Fubuki: Foxy Hunter

One of Hololive's first generation virtual YouTubers. A gamer at heart and a hunter by instinct, she won't let anyone outdo her, but still holds a flame of comion within, as well as shyness towards new things. Appears on YouTube.

Being a hunter in the snow, she stalkers her prey, and strikes swiftly and mercilessly. As such, she doesn't need a thick coat to protect herself from harm; she IS the harm.

Accelerates Special trigger (-1). If unit initates combat, unit can make a followup attack before foe can counterattack, and if unit defeats the target, grants unit another action after combat (once per turn, does not stack). At start of turn, if unit is adjacent to only beast or dragon allies or if unit is not adjacent to any ally, unit transforms (otherwise, unit reverts). If unit transforms, grants Atk+2, and if unit initiates combat, inflicts Atk/Def-4 on foe during combat and foe cannot make a follow-up attack.

The general idea of Fubuki's weapon is to strike fast and make her escape when her prey goes down; guerilla style tactics basically. Her poor defensive stats make it so her enemy phase will be her inevitable downfall, but unless something goes dangerously wrong, she has the upper hand otherwise.

Special: Moonbow

Cooldown: 2

Treats foe's Def/Res as if reduced by 30% during combat.

A Skill: Life and Death 4

Grants Atk/Spd +7. Inflicts Def/Res -5.

This adds to the idea of simply being a glass cannon guerilla style unit. Her bulk will be utter garbage, but her damage output should be enough to carry her.

Lull Spd/Def 3

Inflicts Spd/Def -3 on foe and neutralizes foe's bonus to Spd/Def (from skills like Fortify, Rally, etc.) During combat.

Gotta lull your prey into a false sense of security...

There isn't a lot of base her stats onto I had to take some artistic liberties. Her character is a cheerleader, so I figured physical stamina would make sense for her, but she also talks moderately fast, so high Spd made sense to me as well. The rest was allocated based on what made sense to me considering what I initially gave her.

Skills

Weapon: Band-Aid Box+

Mt: 12

If unit's HP is <= 75% and foe's HP is > 75%, grants Atk/Spd +4. If unit initates combat, restores 10 HP to unit and target after combat.

[Dagger 7]After combat, if unit attacked, inflicts Def/Res -7 to target and foes with 2 spaces of target through their next action.

Matsuri's weapon is very much based on this clip that went viral for obvious reasons. The weapon I did have to take liberties on, but I figured the healing was a no brainer, but I wanted it to stand out from the Minty Cane+ weapon Winter Jaffar had, so I made it like an actual Band-Aid kit that heals who its applied to, but if she's losing, she gets a pump of adrenaline.

Assist: Dance

Grants another action to target ally. (Cannot target an ally with Sing or Dance.)

Cheerleader. Need I say more?

B Skill: Energized Dance 3

If Sing or Dance is used, grants Atk/Spd +2 and Special cooldown count -1 to target.

Note: Only infantry can use this skill.

Even if I don't always understand her because of the language barrier, Matsuri's energy is contagious, and I decided to make a skill based on that. In of the stats, it is weaker than Firestorm Dance, but the additional cooldown makes up the difference. Up to the player to make the decision of what is more important.

C Skill: Lewd Energy

If unit is within two spaces of ed ally, grants Atk/Spd +6 to unit during combat, and if ed ally initiates combat, grants Special cooldown charge +1 per unit's attack.

Nothing like a little lewd to get you going LMAO. Matsuri's perversion is over-the-top for comedic effect, but it definitely gets everyone energized to run away. Her blood gets pumping from wanting to lewd, and the rest want to run away. Easy.

Being a big ass dragon, her being on the slower side made sense, and I opted for higher bulk due to how large her... assets are. Due to how she works as for the other Hololive , I would like to think of her as more as a protector than a devestater.

Skills

Weapon: AsaCoco Breath

Mt: 16

Grants Res +3. If foe initiates combat, grants Def/Res +4 and inflicts cooldown charge -1 on foe per foe's attack. If unit is adjacent to ally, foe cannot make a followup attack. If foe's range = 2, calculates damage using the lower of foe's Def or Res.

As a dragon, she is already big and strong, and can act as a wall for her allies. Being one to bring all of her fellow Vtubers together, she would gain a little bit of extra when fighting near them.

Assit: Harsh Command+

Neutralizes target ally's penalties (from skills like Panic, Threaten, etc.) and negative status effects (preventing counterattacks, restricting movement, etc.) that last through ally's next action. Converts any penalties on target ally into bonuses.

Coco is known for her vulgar nature, but she ultimately means well, and is there to aid and comfort her fellow Vtubers. I think this is the perfect in-between.

A Skill: Scale Shield

Neutralizes "effective against dragon" bonuses.

I'm more surprised this happened before outside of Sothis instead of this being a nice reference to Coco.

B Skill: Quick Riposte 4

If unit's HP => 50% and foe initiates combat, unit makes a guaranteed followup.

Due to her being a floofy sheep, I figured it only made sense that her HP stat would be inflated to high hell, with her bulk pretty good. To offset her bulk, however, her Atk and especially Spd aren't that great. Its also a running joke that her internet connection is absolutely trash, that she even made this song parodying her usual stream's background BGM to make fun of it; thus, why she's armored and very slow to begin with.

Skills

Weapon: Headbang Sheep

Mt: 14

If unit initates combat, grants Def/Res +6 during combat, and if unit's HP > foe's HP +5, grants Atk +6 and Special cooldown charge +1 per foe's attack. After combat, if unit attacked, deals 12 damage to unit. At start of turn, if unit is adjacent to only beast or dragon allies or if unit is not adjacent to any ally, unit transforms (otherwise, unit reverts). If unit transforms, grants Atk+2, and unit can counterattack regardless of foe's range.

I figured I would make good use of her high HP stat, and to make her useful, she gains pretty good buffs when initiating, but suffers, as she can only do that so many times before the damage becomes too much. It can be offset by allies healing her, or using some sort of Assist, but alone, she can only do so much.

Special: Explosive Fluff

Cooldown: 3

Boosts damage by 50% of units max HP.

Not sure how how this will fly in the meta, but seems okay to me.

A Skill: Bracing Stance 3

If foe intiates combat, grants Def/Res +6 during combat, and inflicts cooldown charge -1 on foe per attack.

Pretty standard stuff.

B Skill: Regenative Wool

After combat, if foe attacked. restores 8 HP, and if net damage taken during combat < 30% unit's max HP, grants Special cooldown count -1.

It's a running theme that the other of Hololive will "eat her", and she assured her fans that she will respawn after an 8 second timer. The additional cooldown effect is there since the foe won't always initiate combat, especially considering her weapon recommends more initiating combat instead.

C Skill: Ward Armor

Grants Def/Res+4 to armored allies within 2 spaces during combat.
