• Name: Anthony Jackson “AJ” Warner

• Age: 15

• Birthday: January 30

AJ has lived in Gravity Falls for all of his life. He, his parents, and his two sisters had lived together, happily, for twelve years before tragedy struck— his father ed away suddenly in his sleep. It shook the family to the core but, in a way, brought them closer together.

Whether he was ready for it or not, AJ was the man of the house now. From that time on he felt a heavy sense of responsibility toward his family. He loves them deeply, and he wants to protect them. He can’t stand to lose anyone else.

”I’m doing this for you! You have to understand that, I… please. Please let me protect you.”

Appearance: short, shaggy black hair, light tan complexion, dark brown eyes, freckles. Usually wearing something with stripes (he’s got a thing for striped clothing), jeans, and impossibly-clean sneakers.

Three years after Mr. Warner’s death, the family is doing well enough. AJ landed a job at the Mystery Shack, and he absolutely fell in love with the place. He made friends with the workers and some of the residents— most recently the Pines Twins, who are spending the second summer in a row with their great uncles.

Nowadays, AJ spends the majority of his time at the shack, on and off of work, hanging out with his new friends.

• Positive traits: kind, empathetic, protective, hard-working

• Negative traits: a little touchy, clean-freak, averse to adventure, sometimes over-protective

• Hobbies/interests: hanging out with friends, catching up on various tv shows he’s obsessed with, gaming, doomscrolling (we’ve all been there)

However, when Melania Cipher shows up and defeats the same dream demon who took over Gravity Falls just one year ago, things get a little weird. AJ has, of course, lived near the supernatural his entire life, but he’s made the conscious decision to avoid it as much as possible, for his safety and the safety of his family.

Suddenly, though, things have gotten a little complicated for AJ.

”Oh gosh. No, no… don’t tell me this is what I think this is, because if it is, then… no. Oh no.”

Close relationships

•Kendall: AJ has worked hard to be the best big brother he can be to his baby sister. As socially awkward as she is, she has a hard time speaking up, so AJ has learned to help her. They’re very close, and AJ really worries about her.

•Linda: Their father’s death affected all of them greatly, and AJ’s older sister was no exception. Whereas the remainder of the family grew closer, Linda distanced herself. However, AJ loves her dearly, and it’s very mutual, even if Linda isn’t comfortable showing it.

•Wendy: Upon starting his job at the Mystery Shack, Wendy was quick to step in and adopt AJ as her new work buddy. Though AJ isn’t nearly as willing to break the rules as Wendy is, he covers for her, and she ropes him in to a few schemes anyway. They like to share snacks on the roof during breaks (he doesn’t ask where the snacks came from).

•Melania: AJ’s relationship with her is… complicated. They’ve become fast friends, and they trust each other more than just about anyone else. AJ, however, has feelings for Melania that he can’t quite grasp… and there’s no WAY he’ll ever tell her.

”When did my life get so weird?”
