How can I prevent hay pokes? Oreo got another one this morning and I'm fixing to leave for a trip my my parents can't remove hay pokes

Unfortunately there isn't really a way to avoid it.
If you are worried about while you're away, put the hay up in a hayrack, you should also make sure you have good quality, soft hay.
They worse quality it is the more pokey/straw-like parts that are more likely for haypokes and they don't tend to like as much
Okie dokie, its always been in a hatrack so maybe its the hay on the floor that caused it?
