What My Guinea Pigs Eat In A Day

My guinea pigs get 68 grams of fresh food every day. (34 grams in the morning and 34 grams at night.)

What they got today:

:heavy_multiplication_x: 20 grams of spinach :heavy_multiplication_x:

They get 20 grams of leafy greens every day. Usually they just have green lettuce, but today I decided to switch it up a little bit and give them some spinach. (10 grams per “meal”)

When weighing things, make sure you subtract the weight of the dish!

Along with their base leafy green, they get other, sugarier fruits and vegetables. Make sure you don’t give your piggies too much sugar! My pigs are actually slightly underweight, and our bet advised me to give them a little more food than usual.

Today they got 16 grams of carrots! I wouldn’t suggest giving your pigs too many carrots every day. They got 7 grams per “meal”

I don’t give them bell peppers too often, as they can be quite watery, but today they got 14 grams of some delicious yellow bell pepper! (7 grams per “meal”)

London goes crazy for these! Today I had strawberries in my breakfast, so I already had the strawberry tops for them. (Does anyone else’s pigs only eat the strawberry tops, not the rest of it?) The strawberry tops added up to 18 grams, 9 grams per “meal”
