Where We Began (November 2018)

.     History And Stuff was officially founded by Bersagliere and his friends saxe and Bulgaria on November 1st 2018. We can categorize the amino into a few eras as shown below:

The Classical Era:November 1st 2018- January 1st 2019

The Dark Age: January 1st- March 1st 2019

The Golden Age: March 1st-July 1st 2019

The Pre-Modern Era: July 1st- October 21st 2019

Age Of Reform: October 21st 2019- March 31st 2020

Modern/Present Era: March 31st- Now

     Bersa created the amino with saxe and Bulgaria after bersa saw the Poland ball amino staff banning without evidence, and so the amino was started. This early era starting in the late fall and early winter of 2018 was sparsely filled with Poland Ball Amino and other stragglers picked up along the way. Bersa would gain new by messaging all new people in the Poland ball amino as well as inviting his friends from a war rp chat on Poland ball amino.

The First (November 2018)

     It wasn’t long for certain to distinguish themselves and become the first prominent curators on the amino. The featured page was another story, being filled with memes and short statements. The first ever featured post was on November 1 by Colo when he published “My Thoughts on The Italian Maritime Republics”.

     The amino was taking shape by mid November hitting 100 as announced by Adolf Hitler on November 12. A few days later another member by the name of Eureka officially published the first Amino timeline on the 17th.

The First Leaders (November 2018)

     Leadership was quiet and small in the first month of the amino. According to Eurekas original timelines, the first curators were Homunculus and Nazi Bulgaria. On November 6th a by the name of “yeah I colonialism” became another curator . On the 11th if that same month Adolf Hitler is said to have become curator. It wasn’t long before the first arguments and conflicts develop on the amino. In this early era during November the first notable arguments between s took place. Colo and Hirohito would have a small schism after the two debates who would become curator over a bet. Romania and Bulgaria would also argue with each other during this time.

Operation Cleanup (November 2018)

     As stated earlier, many of the early of History and Stuff were from the Poland Ball amino. Perhaps as a result their was an enormous amount of Poland ball posts flooding the aminos feed which would spark the first major conflict in the amino as some wished to see the end of the Poland ball memes. With the mass influx of Poland ball posts many decided to take matters into their own hands and end them once and for all. The civil war took place mainly on November 18th and was more formally known as operation cleanup. Prominent Adolf Hitler would lead the so called clean up crew against the memes. Bersagliere, the leader, eventually put down the civil war on november 18th. The civil war was fought between the “clean up crew” and the “pro pba” which stands for Poland ball amino. Eureka was the main figure to document this conflict through his timeline and battle updates during this period. Winston Churchill played another important role in creating propaganda for the movement.

Post Cleanup Amino (November 2018 December 2018)

     I would still categorize this period of the amino as part of the classical era and it was truly an interesting time. One of the major events that happened was Bersagliere announcing that he would shut down the amino if they didn’t reach 200 by 2019 but on the end it turned out to be a hoax. Also around this time Hitler became the first member to reach level 10 on November 20th. He would be an influential member, creating one of the first amino competitions to celebrate the month anniversary of the amino. The MacArthur would win that event on December 7th.

The End of an Era (December 2018)

    Curator controversies would be present during this post war period. Bulgaria would create a Balkans amino which bersa declared a traitorous action. Because of this bulgaria was demoted for a time on December 26th. Also around this time, early curator Adolf Hitler would resign his duties. By this point many of the original veterans had been established such as Templarsoldier who became well known for his random fact of the day series which got up to over 100 episodes.

     As the new year began the amino fell into a stage of inactivity known as the dark age where 5-7 would be online during the day. This is the second era of the amino and starts at the end of the classical era from January 1st to March 1st 2019 and was relatively the same time as the amino was under probation by TA. There were not very many historic events during this time of the amino besides a greater H&S culture being established and some amino events to boost activity.

Notable Dark Age Events (February 2019)

     There were some important events during this dark age. On February 8th the amino became 100 days old which caused some such as Eureka to reflect back on some of its most

Important events. The first 100 days saw the promotion of Templar to substitute leader as well as some good times like when colo took over the amino with an army of ers and copycats. Later during the dark age the amino would surprisingly hit a major milestone of 500 in mid February. Also during February Templar, a beloved leader would resign as substitute leader. He would resign on February 22nd to make room for new substitute leader elections which Colo brought up.

Probationary Period (January 2019 February 2019)

    You may have been wondering from earlier in this dark age portion, why was the amino on probation in the first place. There was another history amino around the same size named history hoes. Colo and friends would lead many raids against their amino in a war. The history hoes leadership would then report our amino to TA which got the amino put under probation. What this meant is that if even a single innapropriate thing was posted, the whole amino could be taken down. Nevertheless, H&S would prevail through this tough time and History hoes in player count at 409 . Another important and funny group that established itself during early 2019 was the DA which Eureka founded. This group has ibis paint drawn profiles that all look the same.

     March was the start of rapid increase in activity for the amino. The population of the amino began to soar reaching over 800 by April 17. Many of the modern day veterans of the amino ed during the golden age including me. The golden age lasted from March 1st to July 1st. Blog post quality went up and new writers began to make their mark on the featured page. Player count would rise to 30-40 some days and it was truly a great time to be on the amino.

A Type of Renaissance (March 2019-July 2019)

    During this time the community was really taking shape. Although Templar soldier postponed his fact of the day series many other s took on the challenge of creating great content on the amino. The golden age also saw the first competition to create an official H&S Flag which previously was just a flag made by Eureka during the classical era. The DA group also saw another revival during this time.

Second Civil War (April 2019)

    There were brief schisms during this era that were not all fun and games. There was a brief conflict known as the drawgirl war

Or second civil war in around Easter when two reed the amino and ignited a controversy over drawgirl profiles. The brief war was eventually quelled. The war was fought between the ADC Anti Drawgirl Coalition which was led by colo and they fought against the Drawgirl activists. It brought up questions on the amino of the rights of the s and if curators had the ability to moderate profile pictures.

Later in the month of May the amino was on the brink of another civil war over Hitler profiles but it would never actually happen.

The Anarchy (June 2019)

     The second big conflict that happened during the golden age was around June 22nd and was known as the anarchy. Bersa was inactive for this time and Colo was given leadership of the front page. Many amino changes were made and it was a time of unrest. New curators were promoted under colo as well. The anarchy would eventually end when bersa returned to the amino. Following the anarchy bersa tried to give cool control over the amino once more but colo denied it. Bersa would try and reconcile with the amino with his 2.0 update but it was not well received. Eureka would also jokingly report Bersa to TA for inactivity which would Eureka was then banned for treason for. Eureka would re the amino however.

June 17th the amino hit 1000 , a major milestone.

     This era starts in early July and is the result of the renaissance of the amino from the golden age. This era has some major conflicts and events that are important to note as well as some important community events. This era was more of a transition art period between the golden age and the coming reforms of the next age where not much happened besides some curator troubles and a brief civil war.

Second Coup (July 2019)

     Arguably the biggest event during the premodern era was the second coup which took place in July of 2019. The coup started due to an attempt to overthrow Bersagliere. The revolutionaries led by Colo known as “colo gang” managed to get bersa terminates by TA on July 11th. Eventually bersa came back and colo gang decided to give back leadership and many people were banned such as Manxome, colo, and history nerd but they all ed back. Bulgaria received leader status for a time for helping bersa regain power. Colo eventually regained his status as curator and helped found the HNS Militia to defend the amino guidelines.

Many important community events happened during this period as well such as the icebreaker challenge to attempt and welcome in new players. There was also a new political com event to bring together the community. The period also saw a larger increase in players but soon inactivity problems would occur later in this era.

     Following the turbulence of a coup and other issues of the previous era was a new age of reform and changes. As activity declined on the amino Bersa began to try and revive the amino with new updates and substitute leaders. Nothing much happened in at the end of the pre modern era which is why we start this era on October 21st when the update 2.1 was released by bersa. Bersa began to update the amino by creating representative governments and new enforcement of revised amino guidelines in his 2.1 update in october 21 2019.

This new senate was made by Bersa and Bulgaria to get old veterans to re the amino and stay as well as make changes to the amino with community . The senate would be dead for several months until another would come along that we will discuss soon.

November 1st 2019 the amino celebrates its 1 year anniversary.

The Purge (December 2019)

╔══════⋯⇋ :star: ⇌⋯══════╗

     One of the bigger events that happened during this era was the purge. In December of 2019 some curators were continuously removing from the history front page which angered Bersa. Curator Saxe was blamed for the event and banned but Bulgaria managed to convince Bersa that Saxe didn’t actually do it. Bersa then demanded that someone had to own up in the next day or all curators would be demoted. Eventually Colo and Russki itted to doing it and both were demoted. Colo would be repromoted later on. Russki would continue to be problematic in the future, eventually being banned for mass flagging Bersa.

Road to Modern Day (January 2020-March 2020)

    January 1st Nero became new substitute leader and would be known for his community events. January 29th Nero resigns from substitute leadership. A few weeks later a very new member manages to gain the trust of Bersa and becomes the new substitute leader. This was George VI who became a leader February 20th 2020. He would push for major reform and amino changes. He would be well known for his amino newspaper and senate elections which saw the rise of many new into the public eye. This senate reform was an attempt to boost activity and create change, similar to when it was originally created. The senate would allow Alexander the Great become curator in March after getting a creator bill ed. We also saw the rise of the DA once more in mid March. The DA was an odd group created by Eureka back in the day (the ones with the goofy hand drawn profiles). Around this time the first H&S Colony was formed as well as an amino army and Minecraft server.

George Resigns (March 2020)

     George VI and Bersa would rule together for several weeks even possibly staging a civil war between nationalists and monarchists to further boost activity. George VI would resign after the senate became very controversial and was trashed by many veterans. Because of this he would quit the amino that same day on March 31st 2020. The amino would begin to rise once more in the weeks of George’s leadership.

April 2nd the Project Timeline was created by Alexander to document the history of the amino.

April 4th the H&S Timeline was published to the front page.

     With George resigned and the senate effectively dead, where will the amino go now. New s have began to establish themselves on the amino such as Isra, Sultan, and Empress who have begun to transform the front page. Who will be the new substitute leader or leaders? The current election seems to be going in favor of a new Triumvirate of three leaders. The senate also seems to be reforming in the near future. Wherever the amino goes it will stay alive, making history for months to come. Thanks for reading :)
