Plot:

I found this to be a pretty decent found footage movie that I watched. The idea of the movie is pretty interesting, with it being a documentary about what if the found footage genre were real. It does a good job of building up with the main character, finding the box of tapes, and showing it to people. The tapes itself are two students making a project about Peeping Tom, which is some urban legend the movie made up. I do like the movie shows how one guy wants to solve the mystery over the tapes and make a documentary about it. And just like any people out there, there are skeptical people who don't believe him and think that the tapes are fake, which is true for supposedly real found footage. We also see the downfall for him, with him getting frustrated on how people won't believe him and how it affects his personal life. Although it feels like there's no ending to this plotline.

As for the tapes itself, it similar to other found footage movies out there with two students finding strange stuff that they recorded, and just like Gavin, one of them start to hit downfall. I found this part to be the least interesting on how it feels similar, and it isn't creepy because it's your usual stuff you see in any found footage movies out there. The way it ends isn't that impressive.

Plot:

There are only a few characters the movie focuses on, and their fine for the most part.

Gavin York is the main character who is a filmmaker who wants to prove that the tapes are real. I think the movie does a good job with this character on how he becomes obsessed with finding answers to it and how it affects his personal life. It shows how an artist would be willing to go to get what he wants and becomes frustrated by people who don't believe him. Seth Kallick does a pretty good job with his performance by showing how far the character goes before his downfall.

The students aren't that interesting to talk about and are mostly one-dimensional, with Feldman being similar to Gavin.

Plot:

Butterfly Kisses is a decent found footage horror movie that isn't the most impressive but does have interesting ideas to itself.
