Jpop inspired Lolita Lookbook

For today I have a Lookbook I have previously done with multiple fashion styles however I wanted to try this one just with Lolita Coords!

So in this lookbook I took 7 Jpop songs from multiple artists and made 7 coords I thought fit well to the song. It can be the song itself, the lyrics or music video to have been the inspiration for the coord!

How I will do it in this Lookbook I will first introduce the song and the group its from cery shortly and then post an edit of the coord and then the coord details and from where its from~

Of course I will also link the songs and introduce the artists for each coord as well!~

So let's get started!~

~Cinderella Girl Coord~

The first coord I did around the song Cinderella Girl by King & Prince or short just kinpuri!

Kinpuri are an idol group under Johnny's & Associated and debuted in 2018 and this is their debut song and it was also used for the Jdrama Hana Nochi Hare in which Hirano Sho, a member of the group, starred in.

For the coord I went for a very Hime lolita look because ot Cinderella and in completely white inspired by their main outfits in the music video since they mixed the white suits with their member colours but since I am no member of the group I decided to do it just in white~

The place in the picture is actually the location of their music video~

The OP itself is the Le Jardin de Versailles in white from Chess Story and I absolutely love this OP in general the whole print and everything is just perfect~ :two_hearts: however it is kinda tricky to wash so I don't wear it often

I combined it in a more simple yet quite elegant way and the bow in the back which is kinda perlacent give it a more girly feel~

~Taisho Roman Coord~

The second song I choose is by YOASOBI and its their last year released Taisho Roman~ it's one of my absolute favourite song by them~

They are a 2019 founded duo. They do more electronic sings and their song Yoru ni Kakete went viral in 2020.

The song itself is about a romance between a girl in the Taisho period which was from 1912 to 1926 and a boy today and the music video illustrated it so beautifully! :two_hearts:

For this one first of all I tried to edit a photo to make it look old~

and then for the coord itself I tried to mix elements inspired by the Taisho period mixed with modern more cute elements.

So in the Taisho period Japan continued to take on western influences and in this time the sailor uniform spread throughout Japan. Although already existent in the Meiji period it only really took off in the late Taisho and early Showa period so I took a sailor uniform inspired dress. To give it a more wa feeling I wore a Haori, a kimono jacket, over the dress which I have seen in other Taisho inspired photo shoots~

I also purposefully chose to wear only a ribbon in the back since from photos I could find either big ribbon in the back or updos were popular but updos more for adult women rather than girls who would've worn sailor uniform dresses~

For the OP I used a Secret Honey dress and I feel like Secret Honey and Amavel often do dresses that can be worn in and out lolita and Axes Femme besides their actual lolita pieces also have this sort of dresses~ I actually like this dress more with a petticoat under it since it gives more dimension to the dress~

The haori itself I thrifted for 400 yen back in 2020 from a second hand shop in the city I lived in in Japan~

Over all I really like this coord since its casual but also cute~ also the haori sleeves are the pockets and I always end up putting everything in there :see_no_evil: :joy:

~A10TION Coord~

Next is Kis-My-Ft2's A10TION~

Kis-My-Ft2 or kisumai is another idol group from Johnny's & Associated and they celebrated their 10th debut anniversary last year and for that released A best of album which is for what this song was for~

Since the music video had fun circus and steampunk vibes I decided to go with 9ke of my circus themed JSKs!~ This is actually one of my dream dresses so I am super happy to be able to own it~ 🥰

This time I decided to make the red details stand out a bit more and paired it with a red Blouse and red shoes~

Here the details of the coord and actually the JSK is the Star Night Theatre JSK however the headbow is from the black Fantasy Theatre which I also own because basically all Angelic Pretty circus dresses are my dream dresses :joy: I want all of them so I am collecting them~

Anyways I actually like this coord but I wish I had this Blouse in a summer version to wear it like it on summer as well~

~Ubu Love Coord~

Ubu Love is the debut song of the Johnny's & Associated group Naniwa Danshi who debuted in 2021.

Its a very cute fun idol song and the dance is also so fun~

For the coord I tried to do a more pop kind of coord with pinks, reds and whites~ which I found fits best to ubu Love and also the outfits Naniwa Danshi are wearing~

I do think I did well however my hair is kinda hard to see but basically I did buns on each sides~

So the Blouse is actually not from a lolita brand but from a normal Japanese brand called INGNI~ and because of the organza sleeves I thought it would work super well with the pop theme I was going for~

The Skirt is also one of my absolute favourites and it's again from Angelic Pretty~

~Roar Coord~

Next up is Roar by KAT-TUN and they are again a Johnny's group and they debuted with 6 in 2006 and gradually became 3 and this is one of their 3 member songs and I absolutely love it its one of my absolute favourite songs by them period!~

Since the outfits in the music video I decided to also go with a more simple coord and I actually quite like this one! It wad a first for me to try this one out and it's more a daily wear lolita coord than a special occasion one and a bit more on the mode side~

I think it fits well with the song~

The dress is actually a Hand me down from a friend and I love it and I wear it alot! Although it is a pain thay the collar and the dress need to be washed separately :sweat_smile: but asides from that its again a dress I can wear in and out of lolita!~

~Hey Ho Coord~

SEKAI NO OWARI are a band formed in 2005 and their song hey ho was released in 2016 and is on their lip album~

In general the around 2014 to 2017 is mu favourite era of sekai no owari releases and this falls in the middle of it and is one of my favourite songs from them as well~

I feel the whole setting in the music video is like a enchanted forest party which sekai no owari did alot actually alot back then and I tried to channel that feeling in the edit and coord since the main piece is a hamster picnic themed JSK by Infanta!~ This is my newest purchase and I love it so much~ its actually my first Infanta dress and I want to get more now~

I really like this coord but while editing I realised you can't see the bracelets I am wearing :sweat_smile: but anyways the dress is more important and u love it so much~🥰

~Koi furu Tsukiyo ni kimi omou Coord~

or short just Koifuru is another song by Kinpuri which I found fitted so well and I had a perfect coord in mind which fitted the song and the music video so I had to put it in this post~

and this Bodyline JSK fitted perfectly in mu opnion to this song and music video! I love it and I have not been wearing as much as I want to but here I am finally wearing it~

Lastly the coord details~ I really like this coord~ even though it's definitely more winter appropriate :sweat_smile: :joy:
