Hello Everyone!

My name is Haiyuna and I'm the leader over on J-Rock Amino. Today I will be holding the Music portion of the challenge!

Music is a way for people to wind down, express themselves, a form of entertainment and a way for people to connect with others. It's even a way for people to get introduced into another culture and learn about the world!

The power of music is truly wonderful and is always a big part of a culture. That is why today we ask you to write about your favorite Japanese artist/bands!

You may write about any genre of music as long as it's from Japan. Here's what to do:

1) Choose a Band or Artist (you may also make a favorite just giving the info/history of a music genre)

Create a favorite or blog telling who who they are, who the are and some other facts (or the origin/facts of a certain genre)

Include pictures and perhaps songs/videos. Your favorite

You may choose to tell us why you like them

Favorite Band: Plastic Tree

Plastic tree is a four member band consisting of Ryutao, Tadashi, Akira and Kenken. The band went through two name changes before settling on Plastic tree. The band was going for "something abstract and natural at the same time," according to Ryutaro.

I think I discovered them in the early 2000's. Can't exactly when.

What makes them awesome/special?

Ryutaro's child like voice. It's what drew me in in the first place. They have also been together since 1993. That's a total of 23 years! :scream:

I love this shy guy and I just love his voice. He's so cute in interviews and stuff.
