FANTASTICS are a nine member group under Love, Dream and Happiness (LDH) and Rhythm Zone. They are the 3rd male group from Exile Tribe to debut after GENERATIONS and THE RAMPAGE. That they were to form was announced on the 31st January 2017.

The group consists of two vocalists and 7 dancers. Sato Taiki and Sekai have been of EXILE since 2014, the rest of the dance line are former of Exile Generations (an EXPG dance team) and the vocal line participated in Vocal Battle Audition 5 where they won and were announced as of FANTASTICS on the 20th December 2017. The following month (February 13th) after 7 of the were formed, they went on what is known as Musha Shugyo (training). The boys also ed GENERATIONS on their 2017 World Tour as the opening act and as back dancers. They also featured in GENERATIONS' YMCA music video.

In preparation for their debut, the boys took part in 'Dream Training' (second Musha Shugyo). Due to Nakao Shota's diagnosis, FANTASTICS were to tour as 8 . As a way of ing and indirectly including Shota, the theme of their Dream Training tour was FANTASTIC 9. Shota came up with the design for the tour bus. The tour began on the 14th April 2018. It was the first time that Yagi Yuusei and Nakajima Sota ed them on stage.
