Cliches I'll Never Get

1. Male Leads Fighting Over Female Lead

I get why two people who like a girl would fight over her, but this is something different. Kdrama male leads like to fight over who has the right to like the female lead, like she has no say in who she wants to be with. Competition is good but you guys can't make the decision yourselves.

2. Mother-in-law Dissaproval

This one happens so often I can't even be phased by it but I will never understand it. Mother-in-laws come up with too many ridiculous irrational excuses for breaking up couples. Unless the girl is a murderer, or real not fake gold digger they need to find one hella good reason to ruin their child's hopes of love.

3. Engagement Before Dating

I'm not talking about the classic blind date engagement thing, that's just a culture thing; I'm talking about when a second male lead proposes to the female lead without ever having dated her or ever having gained reciprocal feelings.

4. Turning Simple Jobs into Bloodbaths

I've seen many seemingly peaceful companies and jobs turn into war zones. Like who knew the world of fashion or Hanbok could be so dangerous. Deaths, betrayal, and all over a dress.

5. Backstabbing BFFs

I'm all about loyalty when it comes to friendship so I can't get why there are so many backstabbing friends in Kdramas. I find it so refreshing when the friends stick together no matter what, but there are more times when they don't. Also its always over something stupid like jealousy over work, money, or a girl/boy.

6. Jerk Male Leads

Why do girls fall for the jerks? I mean I understand when the male lead is wishy washy and the girl falls for the sweet side. What I don't get is why a girl falls for a complete ahole (pardon my French :hand: ). No matter what we see behind the scenes, he still acts like a jerk to the actual girl so why does he fall for him.

7.Divorcees Getting Back Together

Why get divorced in the first place if you're going to get back together anyways. Marriage shouldn't be something that can be broken and fixed so easily. Of course like everything on this list, there are circumstances but marriage isn't like dating. I love when the lead gets out of a bad mariage and moves on to better her life.

8. Evil Step-Family

Its not even a Cinderella story so why are step-families so evil. If you make the choice to adopt someone into your family why treat them like trash? For example a step-mom comes in and raises the daughter for 20 years yet treats her like trash when she wants to get something. If you raised someone for 20 years that makes you family with or without blood relations at least in my opinion.

9. Fainting Grandparents/Parents

Why do grandparents/parents faint to get their way. Does acting like you're going to die out of nowhere actually work? I feel like it'd be less work and stress if they rationally talked it out.

10. Clingy Female Seconds

Why are female second leads so damn annoying. They cling to a guy who hasn't showed interest in 10 years acting like he's her's or they don't like a guy till he moves on then they want to own him. These characters have no self respect.
