Hello everyone,Anna here from #DAOfamily .

Today i'll be doing a blog for our new segment,

and this month it's noona romance themed.

In this segment our Family was

split in to two teams the #DAObies

and the #DAOssics. Every two

months we chose a theme and

each team watches two dramas

of that exact theme. The Babies

choose two dramas from 2010 and

on and the Classics from before

2010.

For the month of March we chose

I Can Hear Your Voice and One

A sharp female lawyer teams up with a

public defender and a high-school student

who has a special gift-reading minds. together

they'll try to bring down a killer and solve

a murder.

I think the most I liked about this drama

was the romance. I know there wasn’t

much with all the suspense and the

murdering stuff going on. But I actually

looked forward to the romance part.

Like the first time the female lead finally

got over her self and confessed to the

male lead. I love how she finally decided

to do it, say how she felt, and how happy

it made him! When he ran back to her,

lifted her up, span her around and kissed

her, I felt so happy for them!I didn’t skip

some of the murder plot line since I was

more interested in whether or not they

would get together, because of how

withdrawn he was, and also because

of the whole he can read mind thing.

Although I loved the supernatural elements

of the drama. It left me wondering if I could

do it, like be in a relationship with someone

who could read my thoughts! Seeing that

she was frustrated with it must of the time,

I doubt it.I like LJS in this one. Although

he was quite, and pinned mostly for the

girl, his character was interesting, and I

love how he teased the girl. Like in the

last scene when he made her confessed

and said I love you over and over. He

was so cheeky. All in all, the drama

wasn’t that great, I wasn’t very invested

in the suspense part, but I did like the

romance part and the supernatural element!

This is the first Noona romance drama

that I watched. Not that I’ve watched a

lot of them. Actually, I think this is the

only noona drama I’ve ever watched!

Personally, the only reason why I picked

this one up was because of the plot line

with him being able to hear other people

voice. Other than that, the romance itself

didn’t really intrigued me. Really, they

had like zero chemistry. He looked like

he was shy most of the time, and she

looked like she didn’t know what to do

with her face. Seriously, her first confusion

was so monotone, she sounded like she

was reading a memo on a sticky note!

Really it was painful to watch Lee Jong

Suk look constipated in a romance

drama, because we all know he can do

romance.

Yes, I wasn’t a big fun of the

drama. The female lead, I understand

didn’t want to feel for someone who

was younger and also carried so much

baggage. But the way she went about

with it, made me feel sad for the poor

boy, who was already lonely. She was

shy of confusing her feelings, even in

the end she had her eyes closed when

she repeated her I love you.

Also the way the villain was caught in the

end! I was holding my breathe and was

like wow, so they really killed them both,

but it turned out there was like a giant

trampoline thingy, coped out if you ask

me.Although I wasn’t a big fun of it,

because really she had a whole perfectly

good second lead she could have gotten

with if she wanted someone older, I still

finished watching this, because as I said,

the part where he heard other people’s

thoughts was very fascinating to me. All

in all, it wasn’t a bad drama, a very

forgettable one, but not bad. The suspense

was good at some point. The female lead

annoyed me at bit, but when I watched it,

it was good to the time.

When I first started the show, I initially

thought it was slow paced and I thought

it was going  to be one of those dramas

I was going to have to force myself to

finish. Not to mention it had 18 episodes

which is TWO more episodes than the

average drama and I almost always

hate it when a drama has more that

16 episodes but let me tell you something.

The drama amazed me in more ways I

ever thought it could.

There wasn’t any friendship in the

show besides the prosecutor and

the cell mate. Everyone else just

supposedly had to deal with each

other and even the leads weren’t

really considered “friends” when

they met. They were more like

two people tied by fate trying

their best to survive the third

person in their fate trying to

harm them by protecting each

other. Everything else, was just

a bond between coworkers and

enemies.

The coworkers and

judges in the show showed how

much good people working together

need to each other and that

you need to depend on another

coworker in that line of work. Especially

when it comes to the lives of others.

All things needs to be considered. A

healthy relationship with coworkers,

especially as free attorneys working

together is very important and i have

never seen a show shine a light of

significance on that like I Can Hear

Your Voice did.

The love aspect of the show was the

perfect balance. There was always

something serious going on in the

show so I really loved how everything

wasn’t put to a halt for an unnecessary

awkward s*x scene or a large amount

of romance overpowering other

important aspects of the show. The

romance was important and the transition

into it was beautiful. I think the fact that

you can tell how in love they were before

either of them really confessed to the

other is amazing and also shows how

good the acting was. Obviously Lee

Jong Suk was stellar in the whole

show and the actors behind, especially

the second male lead. He was pure but

whenever he was serious it showed.

I’ve seen a variety of emotions from

him beautifully portrayed in this one show.

Lastly I would like to speak about the life

lessons in the show. The show is not only

about love but it’s about revenge, regret,

appreciation, and so much more. The

most important lesson in the show was

revenge and how usually it isn’t worth it

and it shouldn’t take control over your

life. Another lesson that stuck to me is

just the realization that everyone has

a story. Every character in the show,

whether you liked them in the beginning

or not had a story. Even the murderer in

the show ended with I’m sure most viewers

being pretty okay with him because his

story was so touching and honestly a bit

understandable. The female lead’s enemy

even had a sad story that she kept to

herself instead of voicing her regrets.

Everyone visibly had a life that they

lived and their “story” didn’t go

unnoticed in the series.

The show was amazing and you know its

good when I literally sat there for an

episode and a half watching one trial

(Soo Ha’s, the male leads) and not

getting bored of it. I appreciated every

character and how much thought was

put into their personality. Not one

character is how they seem by first glance.

People have depth and this show did an

amazing job of showing that. Although it

never explained how in the world Soo Ha

randomly got his ability to read minds by the end,

I would still score it a 10/10

anyways. If you know me you know I hate

when something important in a show goes

unexplained but the show was so good

and used his ability so well that I don’t

even care. They win!
