i need help :sob: :two_hearts: i have to find something which i'll do after i finished my year working in the museum. i did a lot of interviews or tests for the work field which i want to get into at the moment. but i failed all of them, so i'm kinda at a dead end. i don't really have an alternative considering where i want to work in the end and if i have an interest, it's nothing that i could actually do in the end. i also wanted to go abroad for a year, so mayhaps i'll do something similar just not australia, but something more close. however i need an apprenticeship or studies in some way. but i don't know where to go and i also don't want to just get my education in anything simply for the fact that i'll have something then. so please give me some advice, tips or just tell me what you would do in this situation??

i think studying something can be a very important part of your education, but you should know what you like doing and study something along the lines of that. for example i liked math in high school so i started studying econometrics. also find something that will help you grow as a person or challenge you, because by doing that you will gain the most. maybe there is something that you really want to do but you are afraid to do? then you should do it! as for work it is nice to become independent when it comes to your finances so i would definitely try and find something that suits you and that you like doing. for example i help kids with homework and languages as a part-time job. but yeah it is also totally fine to pick one of the two, so focus on either work or studying, because both can be too much. but yeah just try and explore what you enjoy doing the most, maybe trying multiple different things or picking an interdisciplinary field of studying will help you.

thank you so much for the advice. it helps so much while i'll keep thinking about it 🥺 :two_hearts: i also thought about going to from like september to december or something like that to learn french again. after that i would go apply again next year for a place to study. so like i'll repeat the interviews etc. which i've done this year next year again, mayhaps even in completely different fields. i thought that it could help me not only with french, but for my own improvement, getting different experiences and insights and mayhaps even more ideas about what i want to do later as a job for example. however i'm still unsure about that. i'll have to talk with my parents again

I’m not the best at offering advice so take this with a grain of salt, but here is what I came up with (hope I understood your situation correctly!)

-you could take a gap year where you travel and/or study abroad (like you said you were thinking about)

-you could work part time somewhere while studying to do the tests/interviews again

-you could try studying some or interning in another field? Even if you’re not sure you’ll like it, you never know. Or maybe it could be something that isn’t directly related but will help improve skills related to your field of interest

Idk if this will be much help, but if you take away anything from this, please just that everything is okay and you’ll find something. Take your time with it and don’t beat yourself up over things that are out of your control. to look after yourself and prioritize your happiness and well-being! You’ve got this!

thank you so much cutie and dont worry, i won't get stressed over this and take care of myself 🥺 :two_hearts: honestly i wanted to go to australia for work and travel instead of working in the museum, so mayhaps i'll actually do something like that first for now. i also would love to go to for something like that, but my french skills have to be renewed for that before i go. but i do think that the idea od studying something which might help me is a good thought, so thank you in particular for that advice
