See me for who I am.
You
A vessel of red rivers that suspend a beating catalyst for emotion
Its fickle, one sun to moon you feel as deeply as the unexplored universe
The other sunrise to dark nights, you feel empty
But yet every stride you take is filled with pride
Some may not understand the way you love
You are worth it and more than enough
You know this brown elastic wrapped vessel best
When I see you I see a black cotton candy crown,
Placed atop a caramel sheen that embraces this vessel
I see broken..missing..lost? keys in a piano ever shut, that sings to an audience of one
So afraid of her own self criticism she fails to sing sweet songs to herself as her rainbow tears fall
This person hears her frequencies, even when she too frequently slits then sows her sore throat shut
She is scared to open her heart but yet longs to be loved
Next I see green vines treading so softly on two dormant waterfalls of life
They spread out and breathe life into these ten shrines of ion
Once excruciatingly violent, now gentle and timid
I see a small black stone that keeps all of our components together
It rests, (habitually disturbed by my fingers) on a bed where good food, and with them happy feelings, go deam of a world filled with love and equality
Boy, girl, lesbian, bisexual, gay
Queer, gender fluid
She, her
He, him
They, Them
Now forever exposed, ironically hiding ourselves in crop tops
Two long columns that treble at times help this vessel walk
They must be so tired from carrying my heavy heart and sore eyes
We still dance though..too bad we're afraid of our own melodies
Overall I see 2 girls
The captain of this ship, and a little girl longing to steer oneday
Trapped in the cockpit..for her safety
Vile society met her once and bruised her
We collected her tears and drink them to stop the bile from rising,on those nights
She's protected but present
She shines through when we sing and manipulate guitar strings
She's present in these very pages
She ages In the philosophical questions that poke at her curiosity
Present but protected, present but protected, present but protected
Lost but loved
You, Michelle
