The words that cause hate,

The words I choked and chose.

My mistaken words, my misunderstood heart;

The piece of me that’s been torn apart.

The want to love, but the inability to do so,

The feeling of wanting without reason.

What are my words and why do they destroy me?

Why are they twisting and turning in my mind?

Why do they churn in my brain until I cannot count time?

The guilt in my heart and the guilt in my words,

Wanting to love you just hurts.
