I'm single btw. But hypothetically, If I was dating someone, and we see each other for awhile.. and one day I think about trying polyamory. When is the most appropriate time to talk to your partner about polyamory? Or wanting to try being in a polyamorous relationship?

I know people have already replied but I just wanna add on. Definitely let them know early on. My ex girlfriend didn’t tell me she was polyam until we’d already been dating for a while and it put a big strain on out relationship since I was under the impression it would just be me & her. Ended up being a train wreck of a relationship.
i think when you're in the talking stage with your hypothetical partner, you should let them know you might be interested in polyamory in the relationship if you get together.
Hey Squidgi. If you have thoughts about being in a polyamory relationship. Have an open conversation with your partner or potential partner about it from the beginning. If possible... Most people will be upfront on where they stand with this... Also, even if your partner states they are open or don't care with it when the subject is brought up. They might change their thoughts and want to stay in a mono relationship with you.
Well, me personally, if my partner wanted to be in a poly relationship, I would've wanted them to tell me right away, so I don't waste my time with them, nothing against poly relationships but it's not my thing. So I guess tell them right away, if they want to as well, hooray, if they don't, oh well, move on.
