Edit: by the word "biased" I mean to choose your rankings based solely on their vocals and not how much you like them as an idol overall. Also I shouldn't have used the word "capability" but it's hard to find a word to describe what I was looking for. I guess technicality? Sorry for any confusion!

Context to this blog (Warning: a bit harsh):
So I watch watching a yt video titled "Kpop idols that don't add anything to their group" and they went over 3 idols in that video. I won't mention the other 2 here but the one I'll be addressing...is Vivi. Before anyone gets upset or blows this out of proportion y'all know I love Vivi a lot and had her in the bias line at one point but bias aside let's just be 300% honest with ourselves. You're not picking Vivi for vocals over any of the above her on this list. Now while I think the video was extremely harsh calling her things like "useless" I can't necessarily say I disagree with the point they made about her not adding anything to the group vocally. Like the video says, you can blame the company for line distribution all day but realistically which lines are you giving to Vivi off of their last album? Now me being a little biased here I think that they should work with the they have and utilize everyone's strengths the best they can BUT once again if I'm being completely honest with myself most casual fans and the company really only pay attention to like 4-5 out of the 12 unfortunately.

People have been talking about who is the best or worst vocalist in the group since the very beginning. Which just seems unnecessary…. Obviously they all have different talents, even within singing. Because every voice is different. I don’t think “capability” is something we can even measure. You ask for “opinion” but say “try not to be biased” - that’s a contradiction :sweat_smile:
So my opinion is, my favorite vocals are Lip, then Jinsoul, then Haseul. But they all have lovely voices
Fair argument. What I meant by "try not to be biased" was to be realistic. For example if someone who biases Gowon were to put her at number 1 over lip, haseul, and chuu then that's biased imo
If I was being super biased and basing it solely on personal preference I'd probably have choerry at 1 but without the bias ik that she's good at 6 so I just balanced it out based on that.
"Capability" was a poor choice of word sorry for that. I should've probably used something like technicality instead but this blog wasn't meant for malicious intent or to put other down I just kinda wanted to give my thoughts on a YouTube video I saw like I put in the context section
I'd swap Chuu and Lip. But they also have different tones so that's even preference.

As much as it pains me to say this no, I don't know what Vivi sounds like anymore. I can't describe her vocals nor can I really defend her like she's had stellar vocal performances in the past. The context is up now btw
