Since I have not blogged in awhile and been wanting to get back into it...here we go. A series I'm starting.

Essentially this series is going to be a ton of recommendations each time for a song or albums I've been listening too. Essentially trick or treat but music instead of candy.

Witchtanic Hallucinations

I might as well throw one of my favorite bands of all time up here real quick to kick things off.

Acid Witch is probably the most underappreciated doom band ever. They deserve to be the size of Candlemass or even bigger.

And this album can prove that.

This is Psychadelic Doom at its finest.

Low Dr.Claw like vocals

Amazing guitar and synth crossover.

Pounding drums.

And overall amazing Halloween vibes.

There is really no band like Acid Witch.

Greater Gods

Here in Florida we have a variety of local bands.

We have a small grindcore scene in southwest Florida. We have a small thrash scene in Orlando.

And then...this shit.

I found out about this band through my friend who played a show with them.

He gave me a CD and I gave it a listen. (My cd copy looks way cooler than the picture)

And this is satanic blackened stoner death doom.

Thats not a genre you say?

now it is

The album of theirs Hyms Of A Demonic Empire is chaos in a bottle.

Sludgy guitars, I think a Ratt pedal is being used.

Decaying vocals.

Draggy drums. And even some synthy stuff on occasion.

Good vibes with this band.

The Body - Master We Perish (Credit to my man Dman)

This is Sludge at its strangest and most depressing. More depressing than Dystopias stuff.

Very very sludgy guitars. Even the cleans are sludgy. There's not much to say other than this is awesome. Go follow my man Dman.

The Storm Before The Calm

Probably one of the most overlooked thrash bands ever, Dekapitators album Storm Before The Calm brings some absolutely groovy speedy thrash ever.

With Great Soloing, this album is the full package of thrash. It even has some 80s death metal elements to the music. Its not something to take lightly.

Bio-Cancer

Speaking of underrated thrash bands.

Bio-Cancer is here!

Bio-Cancer are a thrash metal band from Athens, Greece, formed in late 2010.

One of the newer thrash bands that is actually good making a very good impact on the thrash scene. Slowly but surely they will rise over municipal waste fame.

They categorize themselves as "Ear Piercing Thrash"

There's some thing to be said here, because they are.

Its not just regular thrashy yells.

This dude is doing straight black metal shrieks to an extreme style of thrash.

Listen to ear piercing thrash or tormenting the innocent.

You won't regret it.

House of Doom

This is Epic Doom at its most polished state.

Its very catchy and there's not much to be said other than its pretty epic.

Electric Messiah

I never really got into sleep. I mean I like them but I'm not super into them.

But High On Fire...now that's a different story.

I can't even categorize this band anymore.

Cause they're not so stoner or doom at all on this album really.

They branch out a lot.

The stoner a doom is still here don't get me wrong.

But damn they really speed it up on this record.

Especially on Spewn From The Earth.

The vocals are amazing on this album.

The guitar tone is Sludge like yet nice and crispy.

The drums are a bit weird sounding but that's my only complaint.

They're very deep but can get very primal like, for example the song Steps Of The Ziggurat/House Of Enlil.

This album all around is very different for high on fire. I like it.

Secrets She Kept

Straight into this.

Black Metal.

Florida.

But very dark.

Your traditional black metal band. Heavy Gorgoroth and Dark Funeral influences.

Can speed up and slow down when it pleases.

I've been spreading this band as long as I can. Whatever chance I get to spread them around I do.

Especially this next band...

Recreated

Imagine Amon Amarth, Skeletonwitch, and Dissection had a baby.

And then added the cold grim of immortal and boom you have recreated.

I love this band to bits and they really deserve more attention.

Ever since the release of Beware Of The Dead I've been trying my hardest to get these guys out there.

Blackened Melodeath from Sweden. They don't mess around.

Shreddy guitars with great riffs.

Fast double bass is not rare here.

Amazing shrieks and growls make themselves very present.

That is my bag of goodies today, move along now children.
