Space Pirate Weavel

In the teaser trailer for Metroid Prime 4 Beyond we can see Sylux along with Space Pirates, but after thinking about this I have a feeling he may not be the only Hunter's representative that we're gonna see.

Who else is a Space Pirate other than Ridley and Kraid? That would be Weavel. For those of you who don't know who Weavel is a cybernetic Space Pirate that was heavily damaged by Samus in the past. The Space Pirates decided to revive him with cybernetic enhancements, but his brain and spinal cord remained intact.

In a way this bounty hunter kinda reminds me of Helios from Bakugan Season II (New Vestroia) but not entirely because aside from the cybernetic enhancements that's where the similarities end.

Weavel's logbook entry reads:

WEAVEL's weapon of choice is the BATTLEHAMMER a HEAVY-DUTY repeating weapon with a lethal blast radius. Maintain distance and avoid a direct hit from this high-caliber weapon.

What can Weavel do well he wields one of the 6 affinity weapons called the Battlehammer which lobes powerful balls of green energy in an arching motion to the target that also inflicts knockback damage. This weapon also has some pretty solid splashis image think the Clash Blaster from Splatoon put on steroids.

Before the comfortation with Gorea he is known to use an unknown pistol item to break the Sealsphere.

His alternative form is known as the Halfturret where he splits into 2. The upper half is meant for traversing through areas and wields a humongous psych that can catch people off guard, while the lower half acts as the turret firing Battlehammers. When using this form we will splits his Energy in half (in multiplayer) hence the name.

This is what the Halfturret's log book entry reads:

Cybernetic enhancements allow WEAVEL's body to detach from its mechanical lower half and convert it into the HALFTURRET alt-form. The arms provide locomotion for the upper body while the legs are equipped with powerful projectile weaponry.

The fact of him being d with Space Pirates is never really stated in game unless if you read the Manual of Hunters or if you read his trophy inscription in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

His trophy inscription reads:

A cyborg Space Pirate and member of a special-forces unit. Weaver was once left for dead and a fight with Samus. Like other hunters, he also seeks the ultimate power. His weapon of choice is the rapid-fire heavy-duty Battlehammer. Weavel can transform into the Halfturret, where his upper and lower body split and can attack separately.

And he does not only appear as a trophy in that game but he also appears as a collectible sticker where any fighter in that game can use it and will automatically give the a Beam Sword from the start.

Now it is stated that he was left for dead after Samus brutally beat him to death and considering his cybernetic appearance this means that this event had to happened before Hunters. This does beg the question, "When did this event actually happen?"

Well you certainly got me there. It can't be that one Zebesian that Samus and the Galactic Federation kidnap to get information about the Space Pirates in the Manga tie-in to Zero Mission. Even then if Weavel was just an ordinary Space Pirate left for dead by Samus that would be incredibly lame.

Weavel does actually have a confirmed spaceship although it's not really seen in great detail. The only real detail that you get to see with this ship is in a Game Pro magazine. But as far as from what I am aware there doesn't seem to be any evidence that the ship is even seen in the teaser trailer for Prime 4.

Honestly the only real evidence that Weavel might show up is the fact that Sylux is siding with Space Pirates and Weavel is a Space Pirate.

With all that being said though what do you guys think? Do you guys want to see Weavel appear in Metroid Prime 4 Beyond? Let me know in the comments below. Until then have yourself a fantastic day and I'll see you all later. This is Black-Thunder g off.

I have never played Hunters however if we do see another bounty hunter I definitely think that Weavel makes more sense and I like his origin/design.

Will he be in hunters? Honestly I kind of doubt it, but I haven’t even considered the possibility, so maybe we will see him?

I would love to see him. However, I think he will not appear (I don't really have a reason for that, I just feel that way). It's possible Nintendo surprises us tho
