For in that day, it was Alex’s birthday. She received a family heirloom for a gift; a pocket clock that creates a hologram of a person holding an ancient clock adorned with a few chains.

The beauty of this piece mesmerizes the girl, stealing her heart in the midst of breaths she forgot to take. However, its destruction may just lead to her own.
