So...apparently it's been a year now since I've been on this app for over a year now and I have to say it's been very fun. I don't know what people usually do for their more than one year anniversary on this app so I guess I'll just write down my top 15 random favorite movies. They're not rated most to least favorite by the way.

P.s. I try to list down movies with different genres because I know I would be listing down so much horror movies if I didn't try to put in variety haha.

1. King Arthur Legend of the Sword

1 Year On Here-So...apparently it's been a year now since I've been on this app for over a year now and I have to say it's be

Surprised me how great it was when I first saw it. The action, soundtrack, and cinematography is something I love dearly in this movie. Unfortunately it has probably been missed out by a lot of people due to coming out at the same time of Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

2. Donnie Darko

1 Year On Here-So...apparently it's been a year now since I've been on this app for over a year now and I have to say it's be

A psychological sci-fi (I think?) movie that really intrigued me all the way to the end. There's a reason why it's a cult classic. I loved the mystery behind a character (don't want to be specific so I won't spoil it for others) that only Donnie could see and why he is significant to him.

3. Sam Raimi Spider-Man 1

1 Year On Here-So...apparently it's been a year now since I've been on this app for over a year now and I have to say it's be

The characters are great, the difference in character of Spider-Man and Peter Parker was well-done in my opinion, the Green Goblin is just over the top, J. Jonah Jameson is perfect and so on. The score for the movie will always give me that chill when rehearing it. I could go on but I don't want to make this blog any longer than it should be. This movie will always have a special place in my heart.

4. Evil Dead 2

1 Year On Here-So...apparently it's been a year now since I've been on this app for over a year now and I have to say it's be

This is my most favorite movie from the 3 Evil Dead movies, this is the movie where Ash becomes the major badass he is today (yes I know he was able to survive the first movie but that Ash was struggling with bookcases!). Plus I always enjoyed the mix of horror and comedy in this movie.

5. The Book of Eli

1 Year On Here-So...apparently it's been a year now since I've been on this app for over a year now and I have to say it's be

Denzel Washington, a post-apocalyptic setting, great action scenes, and a beautiful soundtrack to go with it (I'm starting to sound like a broken record mentioning soundtracks), I can't help but enjoy and love the movie.

6. The Protector

1 Year On Here-So...apparently it's been a year now since I've been on this app for over a year now and I have to say it's be

Ah...I have so much love for this movie, the action is just awesome (even better, no wires were used and no special effects!). If you don't know who Tony Jaa is you should watch this to see what he can do, he is just amazing. Plus, there's a scene where he goes against a large amount of men that may potentially leave you in awe, you'll know what scene I'm talking about if you were to watch it.

7. The Family (Malavita)

1 Year On Here-So...apparently it's been a year now since I've been on this app for over a year now and I have to say it's be

Some people would call this movie mediocre and boring but I really enjoyed it, watching how the different family deal with their new hometown while being in the witness protection program to hide from the mob. I loved the music that was played inside the film, especially with two the songs being by Gorillaz.

8. Corpse Bride

1 Year On Here-So...apparently it's been a year now since I've been on this app for over a year now and I have to say it's be

Not gonna lie, I love this movie more than The Nightmare Before Christmas. The difference shown between the living and dead is fun to see, with the world of the living it's gloomy with it's colorless surroundings while in the dead it's vibrant with colors and lively (ironically).

9. 9

1 Year On Here-So...apparently it's been a year now since I've been on this app for over a year now and I have to say it's be

An animated post-apocalyptic movie that I'm soooo glad I got to see years ago, the story is not so above average but the visuals in the movie is amazing. The character design of the protagonist dolls, landscape, and the antagonists are just delightful to see in action. I'll it, it is intriguing to see the universe developed more if given the chance.

10. Hardcore Henry

1 Year On Here-So...apparently it's been a year now since I've been on this app for over a year now and I have to say it's be

Oh hell, I love this movie so much, I enjoyed the parkour, stunts, and crazy action this movie has which was all filmed in first person. If you're a fan of first person shooter games and action in general then this movie should be fun for you to watch. (Oh yeah, if you have motion sickness then I recommend not to watch, I don't want you to be feeling bad 🙁)

11. The Walk

1 Year On Here-So...apparently it's been a year now since I've been on this app for over a year now and I have to say it's be

This is a movie I didn't expect myself to watch and yet I did and it was pretty enjoyable. To see the story of Philippe Petit (hope I spelled that right) and his struggles of performing the famous walk on the wire between the two towers before 9/11 is amazing...I'll be honest, the ending kinda left me feeling really sad. Still, I recommend watching this movie.

12. The Great Dictator

1 Year On Here-So...apparently it's been a year now since I've been on this app for over a year now and I have to say it's be

A year ago, I've never really watched slapstick comedy nor never watched a Charlie Chaplin movie, yes I know shame on me. But I was able to change that when I decided to watch a Chaplin movie after school and...laughed way more than I thought I would. I watched a couple more before finally deciding to watch The Great Dictator. I laughed as usual but felt moved by it as well especially with the speech Chaplin gave. If you haven't seen this movie yet then you definitely should.

13. I Am Not Your Negro

1 Year On Here-So...apparently it's been a year now since I've been on this app for over a year now and I have to say it's be

This is a documentary I've been meaning to watch for a long time and I'm thankful I was finally able to. To watch and learn the history of black history from James Baldwin is very interesting, speaking of important figures such as Martin Luther King and Malcolm X, the examination of Hollywood's portrayal of black people and actors, issues black people faced in the past and today, and much more is an enlightening experience.

14. The Tale of the Princess Kaguya

1 Year On Here-So...apparently it's been a year now since I've been on this app for over a year now and I have to say it's be

Of course I couldn't leave out a Studio Ghibli film. And dear lord was this a sad and beautiful movie, the art style and music just goes together so well. The story is very entertaining to watch as well, the ending was kind of nowhere for me but boy it did not stop from being so sad.

15. Bye Bye Man

1 Year On Here-So...apparently it's been a year now since I've been on this app for over a year now and I have to say it's be

Now I know what you're thinking, "Wait a minute didn't you make a blog saying you would never watch this movie?!" Well yes I did but decided to give it a go because why not and..I love it. The movie is just amazing, the acting was well done and the special effects are amazing. Furthermore, I'm just messing with you all *bursts out with uncontrollable laughter in Spanish for 2 minutes* okay now for the real 15th movie I consider a favorite.

The Real 15. Psycho

1 Year On Here-So...apparently it's been a year now since I've been on this app for over a year now and I have to say it's be

Oh gee looks like I couldn't resist from listing down another horror movie haha. For some reason this movie stood out to me a bit more from other horror movies. Since there may be people who haven't seen the film reading this I'll just say I find the killer very interesting in the way they work and why they are the way they are. The suspense is great and the famous shower scene noise is fun to hear again, something I found surprising is that I actually like the sequels. Though the sequels aren't as good as the first one of course but they're fun to watch in my opinion. You could only imagine my excitement when I found out about the show Bates Motel a year ago, it was a joy to watch along with my sisters though I wasn't really happy with the series finale haha. But overall, I love Psycho.

Well that'll be it for my more than one year anniversary blog, I hope it's not too bad of a read. I hope to continue staying in this community and watch it grow to see what else movie lovers may talk about. Have a goodnight/morning everyone.

Intriguing in a very good way, promise! It’s always so nice to see different things listed than what I’m used to seeing! People tend to tell me that my top films list is “kind of different.” Lol

I agree, sometimes something not so usual can be very fun to watch. I'm glad I can list some movies that would be intriguing. I may have to check your top lists again, maybe I can find a film that I wouldn't know would be my next favorite lol.
