The city is alive, alive with corruption. It chews up the innocent and spits them back out onto the filthy pavement. You don't sleep, we're meant to be up all night, we're meant to be dazzling. You strive for fame or you claw at the ground, hoping you'll get tossed a couple of coins for dinner. That's how we're forced to live. They wouldn't have it any other way, well, not willingly at least. It takes secrets to make change, it takes risks, danger, throwing away your delusional views of romance and happiness. We can't have happiness until each of their heads have been severed from their bodies and served on silver platters to the animals they view us to be.
