SunsFans Initial Preseason Thoughts

Although it's just preseason, I love to get my hopes up for absolutely nothing. The Suns are without Jusuf Nurkic for both games and Grayson Allen for the second game, so some of the third-string guys have chances to prove themselves. So, for both the games, we kept the same starting lineup, but for the first game vs. the Lakers, things looked odd. The starters were cold as Booker, Beal, and Durant combined for 9/29, and they only played the first half. Tyus looked good, going 3/3 from 3, and he had 6 assists in less than 20 minutes. Our 3rd string unit legitimately looked fun for once as Josh Okogie, Damion Lee, Oso Ighodaro, Ryan Dunn, and shit even Collin Gillespie were all playing their hearts out. Okogie finishing with 15 and 5 while shooting 6/9 from the field and 2/3 from 3 makes him the game mvp. Ryan Dunn has finally gained a shot, so the leagues over and Oso Ighodaro should be the backup center instead of Mason Plumlee. For the second game vs. the Pistons, the entire team looked great. Durant shot 8/12 from the field and 4/6 from 3 in only 18 minutes, which is a massive change from last year. Frank Vogel would have KD being a spot up shooter, and Bud is really emphasizing shooting 3's, which I love. Bradley Beal shot 50% everywhere and had 12 and 6, so go prove them wrong, Brad. Although Booker didn't shoot well, he still took 6 3's (missed them all :pensive: ), which ultimately is a good sign. If you exclude 3's, he shot over 50% from the field. He also had the best plus minus with +17, so he's always helping. The real mvp of game 2 is the twins. More so, Ryan "clamps" Dunn. Oso finished with 6 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 blocks in only 20 minutes. He's just proving he should be the backup big this season instead of Plumlee. Ryan Dunn is proving everyone wrong as he had 10 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, and a block while shooting 3/5 from 3. He's a 3&D demigod, and he's now my pick to win roty. Go, Ryan Dunn! Anywho, the next SunsFan rant will be at the end of preseason, most likely.
