Lupusregina Beta is a brown-skinned beauty with an athletic look and red hair tied in two long braids. She wears a maid uniform with short sleeves and long black gloves with a skirt that has a long slit on its left side, revealing thigh-high white stockings. She is equipped with an imposing black and silver scepter slung across her back.

Personality

Lupusregina Beta has a very bright and outgoing personality but is able to act accordingly like a perfect lady. She is sociable and friendly towards humans. However, this is only a mask to conceal her brutal and cunning personality. She also enjoys making lewd jokes to people like Enri.

Lupusregina tends to use her 'Complete Invisibility' spell frequently in order to appear behind someone's back without being detected, as she loves to startle people. Yuri has claimed that Lupusregina can be as sadistic and evil as her sister Solution. The author Maruyama has stated on Twitter that during a full-moon at nighttime, she becomes a little bit crueler.

Lupusregina is considered the friendliest of the battle maids by the Homunculus Maids. They also think that being approached by her is a sign of good fortune.

In the Web Novel, she is not a sadist, just a cheerful character who loves to eat.

Background

Lupusregina Beta was created by Beast King Mekongawa to be one of the battle maids, the Pleiades. They served as a last line of defense against intruders. However, because she is unlikely to be able to stand against enemy players who managed to come this far, her only real purpose was to distract the invaders until the guild of Ainz Ooal Gown were able to fully prepare for their final stand in the throne room.

Chronology

The Undead King Arc

Lupusregina, along with her sisters, are ordered by Momonga to guard the entrance of the 9th Floor. She and the other Pleiades are on standby and waiting.

The Two Leaders Arc

Lupusregina is given a mission to spy in Carne Village and to protect three people in the village: Enri Emmot, Nfirea Bareare, and Lizzie Bareare. She visits the village with stone golems to help with the construction of the new wall. She is also the one responsible for delivering the alchemical items and apparatuses to the Bareares. She follows Enri, Nfirea, and the goblins when they explore the Great Forest of Tob in order to search for both herbs and information about the forest. She receives a newly developed potion made by the Bareares, and Nfirea wants her to report the news about it to Ainz. When Enri decides to make some drinks, she asks Lupusregina if she knows how to make delicious drinks. In response, Lupusregina claims that she knows how to, but she serves only the Supreme Beings as a maid and thus she does not help other people with chores and prefers instead to laze around.

Although the inhabitants of Carne Village decide to protect their village from the possible attacks of the army led by the Giant of the East and the Demon Snake of the West, Lupusregina suggests asking Ainz for help since he will easily solve the problem. However, Enri rejects her idea of asking help from Ainz a second time, stating that they should do as much as they can by themselves without depending on their savior too much. After hearing her answer, Lupusregina has a disappointed look on her face but says that they should work hard to keep the village safe. Once Ainz hears the news of Enri being present in E-Rantel, he scolds Lupusregina in his office for her carelessness and tells her to take her job seriously.

Afterward, Lupusregina talks with Enri about the matter of her being appointed to be the new chief of the village. Lupusregina gives her some advice, saying that it doesn't matter if Enri is the chief or someone else is the chief because she will mess up sooner or later. She says that there are only forty-one people who will never make a mistake and that there is no point worrying about what happens when Enri fails and that nobody is better suited for the job than her. Lupusregina also tells Enri that if the goblins can't save the village, they will prioritize her safety first. However, if she is the chief of the village, then this scenario will change as the village will become her property and they will fight to protect the village to the bitter end.

Shortly after, Lupusregina sees the villagers gathering in the village square because Enri has been appointed as the new chief. Yuri Alpha appears behind her and asks about Carne Village, saying that was the reason she got scolded by Ainz. Lupusregina says that a new leader has just arisen and wonders what kind of faces the villagers will make if they are attacked and everything is set ablaze, much to Yuri‘s displeasure. During the attack by monsters from Tob Forest, she saves Nfirea from the Giant troll and kills it.

Later, Lupusregina and Yuri escort Enri, Nfirea, and Nemu Emmot to Nazarick through teleportation as Ainz wants to give them a reward for the newly developed potion made by the Bareares.

The Maid Tea Party Arc

Lupusregina is absent from the monthly Pleiades report and tea party because she is busy over at Carne Village under Ainz's order.

The Men in the Kingdom Arc

Lupusregina participates in Demiurge's plan to make Momon a lasting hero in the Re-Estize Kingdom. She plays the part along with the other battle maids to act as Jaldabaoth's underlings with her face disguised with a mask. She partners with Solution Epsilon and Entoma Vasilissa Zeta. They fight against Nabe and continue to do so until Jaldabaoth orders a retreat.

The Invaders of the Large Tomb Arc

Lupusregina, along with her fellow Pleiades, except for Narberal, encounters Dragon Hunt on the surface of the Great Tomb of Nazarick. They are sent to see if the Nazarick Old Guarders are able to capture enemies trying to escape from the tomb. To her and the other Pleiades' surprise, Dragon Hunt decides to stay and fight. She and her sisters try to cheer for the Dragon Hunt workers, but they are easily slaughtered by the Nazarick Old Guarders. Afterwards, Yuri orders her and the other maids to check if there are any survivors.

The Magic Caster of Destroy Arc

Lupusregina and Yuri greet the delegation from the Baharuth Empire right outside of the borders of the Great Tomb of Nazarick. Later on, Lupusregina returns to her post at Carne Village, whilst invisible, as she observes the attack by the Crown Prince. During the battle, she is surprised when Enri summons an entire goblin army to defend the village.

After the attack on Carne Village, Prince Barbro's remnant army retreats back to Katze Plains until Lupusregina appears in front of them and tells the group that she has been observing their situation for a while now. Lupusregina summons thirty level 43 Redcap goblins and then orders them to kill everyone present before her. At the same time, she personally tortures Prince Barbro for half an hour before he dies from the torment.

The Pleiades Day Arc

Lupusregina is present in the room she shares with Yuri and Narberal. Lupusregina is relaxing, eating a bag of potato chips when she notices how tense Yuri is as she has no work to do. Lupusregina's ungraceful eating habits attract Yuri's attention, who begins to lecture her on manners.

Accord to Yuri, Lupusregina's task is to observe and remain alert while preventing the leakage of the technologies developed within Carne Village, among other colorful tasks besides protecting Nfirea and the Emmot siblings.

Later on, she and Narberal approach Ainz to give Yuri a new task, presumably to get her off their backs.

The Craftsman of Dwarf Arc

Lupusregina arrives at Carne Village to inform Enri that she will not be around to visit them for a while. She explains that Ainz seems to have been defeated in battle and has died.

The Paladin of the Holy Kingdom Arc

Lupusregina is present in the log cabin during a meeting between Albedo, Demiurge, and her master. She pulls out a chair for Ainz to sit on and then kneels down on the floor while waiting for further instructions. When the two Floor Guardians act hostile toward one another, Lupusregina begins panting heavily out of fear.

As Ainz bows his head down on the table for forgiveness, the Floor Guardians order the maid to lift their master's head up. However, she rejects the Floor Guardians' order, apologizing to them while stating that she can not carry out that kind of action to her own master by force. While Ainz begins prepping up his plan with Albedo and Demiurge, Lupusregina stands by and whispers in amazement after what has transpired in this meeting.

Lupusregina is present with Yuri during Ainz Ooal Gown's secret conversation to Jaldabaoth. Later, at the appointed time for Ainz's duel with the Evil Lord and the Pleiades, Lupusregina is replaced by a Doppelgänger from the Erich String Orchestra so Ainz will not be restricted in holding back to kill.

Mass for the Dead Arc

At the time of the Great Tomb of Nazarick's transfer to the New World, Lupusregina Beta was among the NPCs that were killed in the transition. Momonga finding the dungeon in ruins due to the strange Cracks and overrun by Chaos Beasts quickly revived her and the Pleiades with magic. Unfortunately the maid suffered a severe abnormal drop in levels since her revival as did the other NPCs that were brought back to life. When the protagonist appeared before Momonga who was suspicious on the identity of the homunculus, Lupusregina can be one maids that vouches on his identity as being a creation of Beast King Mekongawa. After the protagonist leaves with a Redeem Slime summon and Narberal Gamma, Lupusregina is left with the remaining Pleiades in Nazarick. To rebuild Nazarick, more information was needed to determine the new phenomena that was now affecting the dungeon. Thus Momonga had the maids train to prepare for a survey of the Cracks. When they were deemed ready Lupusregina and her sisters investigated the Cracks, fighting the Chaos Beasts to learn its secrets.

To avoid Nazarick being detected, Lupusregina was assigned to work with Mare to disguise the surface of Nazarick. Whilst altering the terrain of the landscape, Mare's magic disturbed a nest of Forest Worms prompting Lupusregina and Aura to fight them. They also have a close call when a human scout approaches the area, but Lupusregina and her comrades quickly capture him to be interrogated. Lupusregina with the rest of her sisters greeted Narberal Gamma upon her return from the outside world. From the doppelgänger she gained some insight on human society and started practicing on how to communicate with them by referring them as "maggots". It gained some attention from Sebas Tian and Momonga who intervene to correct some misconceptions and focus their training on hospitality. The maid would also serve as a messenger, relaying various communications throughout Nazarick and monitoring the Crack in the Throne Room.

Lupusregina would be asked by Cocytus to train with him, alongside Narberal Gamma. The two maids obliged and sparred with the Floor Guardian and were initially happy to help. But as the training became more intense, the two maids began to worry, bringing the issue to Albedo who notified Momonga. After Cocytus's session with the Overlord of Nazarick, the Pleiades were poleaxed when Floor Guardian decided to allow for breaks. While patrolling a Crack on the Throne Room with Yuri, Lupusregina noticed Yuri to have something on her mind, though the other maid stated that she was fine but in reality was concerned with the discarded piles of debris. Accepting her words, Lupusregina excused herself, not knowing that Yuri would institute a plan to clean the piles on all the floors.

While guarding the Crack on the 6th Floor, Lupusregina faced an increase number of Chaos Beasts coming from the anomaly. One nearly go through the perimeter but the maid managed to kill it before it got away. Though she believed it to be no issue, her laxity of the seriousness of subjugating Chaos Beasts angered Momonga who reprimanded her for not reporting the increase in monsters. The maid was pulled from patrol so that she could reflect on her actions. Disappointed in herself and wishing to get back in Momonga's graces, Lupusregina took Cocytus's advice to consult with the protagonist. From him the maid learned the concept of "Ho-Ren-So" and put all her effort in improving her work ethics. The next time she was assigned a task, Lupusregina impressed Momonga on her diligence that he forgave her for her previous blunder. Her use of "Ho-Ren-So", causes Sebas Tian to have an idea to bringing an air of hospitality in Nazarick to provide a bit of relief to the work focused Floor Guardians. As part of his initiative, Lupusregina served to tea and snacks to Demiurge and Albedo while they were reviewing Nazarick's defense plan.

Later Lupusregina posed as an emissary from a distant country and sold ores to E-Rantel from an abandoned mine near the city. When visitors from another world came through the Crack on the 10th Floor, they were given sanctuary until Nazarick could find a way to return them back to their world. Meanwhile the visitors were asked to assist them in subjugating the Chaos Beasts that infested the Throne Room. One of the visitors, claiming to be a goddess, requested to be excused from the defense as it would require her to fight alongside the undead, which she had a phobia. Lupusregina who was chaperoning them permitted it.

Lupusregina would eventually get to explore the outside world when Momonga called the Pleiades to explore an island that connected to Nazarick via an unstable [Gate]. To assist them, she and her sisters were given swimsuits by Pandora's Actor. With the protagonist and Slimeko's help, the maid and her sisters found that the island was once a base for a pirate crew. Upon discovering the base the Nazarick agents came to fight several undead pirates. The team found a hidden port containing a wrecked ship. Once the wreck of the pirate ship was dredged up, they were attacked by a Giant Mollusk forcing the maids to fight together to slay it. The adventure though ended with the maids retrieving many abandoned valuables for Nazarick.

The maid would also Cocytus's team, Cocytus and the Pleiades, for the Nazrzick Fighting Tournament which became the winners of the tournament. And also help to prepare for Nazarick's Christmas party, by making Christmas Cakes, though would annoy her sisters when she ate the ingredients.

When a being named Shiramochi-ō placed a spell over Nazarick, causing all the NPCs within the dungeon to fall under a New Year's celebration. Lupusregina and her sisters were compelled to go to Fake Nazarick to serve as guards for a Chaos Zone that took shape there. Lupusregina and her sister Yuri were placed to guard a [Gate] behind the area called the Takemikazuchi Shrine that led to the replica of the Throne Room. They would not allow anyone to even Momonga unless they were challenged and defeated. Momonga would defeat Shiramochi-ō though just before he met his end, the White Mochi King used the last of his power to turn back time, creating a loop of the events that saw Nazarick fall under his spell. Though in this new timeline, Lupusregina and her sisters challenged Momonga with a karuta game. The spell under Lupusregina would eventually be broken thanks to a repentant Shiramochi-ō sacrificing himself, though her memories while under the mental influence would be erased.

Lupusregina and her sister Solution would be attending to some new visitors to Nazarick and escorting them outside its confines. They were alerted to a disturbance near the dungeon and found a stranger to be caught by the Enhanced Treants. To prepare for a Yozakura, Lupusregina and her sisters prepared for the festivities, bringing the Chivalrous Costume for Demiurge, which caught Sebas Tian's attention.

For a brief period, Lupusregina enjoyed the company of Albedo, who was starting her new routine as a general maid as part of her new hands on initiative to make Nazarick more efficient. She and Yuri helped their maid junior to learn the proper way to prepare tea. And later at Albedo's recommendation, participated in a training exercise to test the security of the 9th Floor.

On a mission to investigate a lead of possible existence of players near a seaside village, Lupusregina ed the Pleiades in shadowing, the protagonist and his adventurer team. The mission soon developed into a collaborative effort with Blue Roses to assist a dwarf named Tsuibayaya in acquiring the scales of the Legendary Mermaid for his swimsuits. Due to the unexpected adamantite adventurers presence Lupusregina and the others had to act covertly without Blue Roses being the wiser. After the two parties separated to cover more ground to search the beach, Lupusregina and her sisters worked with the protagonist and his team to locate the place where the mermaid lived. Once the maids donned on their swimsuits, their search led them to a tide pool and the lair of the Legendary Mermaid. Lupusregina and the rest of Pleiades made themselves scarce to avoid Blue Roses becoming aware of their presence. After the Legendary Mermaid was fought against, the scales retrieved, and Blue Roses gone, the protagonist had Lupusregina and all the Pleiades dress in their swimsuits before Tsuibayaya to cement his cooperation to work for Nazarick.

In a series of hauntings that began to occur in the Tob Forests, the cause was believed to be the work of evil spirits that were unappeased due to the absence of the Harvest Festival. To cleanse the forest of the spirits, the protagonist organized a festival with the Pleiades in the ruins of Carne Village. However the festival was attacked by what seemed to be a [astral entity that arrived invisible, though Lupusregina that to her ability was able to see through it and point it out to her allies. The entity turned out be a fox girl named Kyuko who was at first hostile to the Nazarick denizens as she believed that they were enslaving Hamsuke. Once the misunderstandings were cleared up, Kyuko willingly ed Nazarick before ing in the festivities. Lupusregina commented on the new addition to their ranks with Yuri at the sidelines and was surprised to hear her sister say that the fox reminded her of someone in Nazarick.

The maid's healing abilities among others were called upon by Momonga, to heal a guest from another world who defeated a powerful entity known as the Grim Reaper. During the next phase of Nazarick's plan to take control of the Tripartite Alliance, Lupusregina and Yuri snuck into the quarantine area around the Northern Cave that housed a Crack and possibly thousands of trapped Chaos Beasts. To release the growing hordes, the maids broke the cavern walls to lead the monsters to the surface. Later Lupusregina acted as one of the Demon Maids of Demon Emperor Jaldabaoth. After the Demon Emperor made a deal with Emperor Jircniv Rune Farlord El-Nix to save E-Rantel, at the cost of the latter's life and the riches of the city, many of the citizens resisted the deal. To punish the humans that were resisting the plundering, Lupusregina and her sisters moved into to slaughter the city guards. In response of Blue Roses rose to fight back.

After news about Miyoshi spread and that he was Momonga's bathing attendant, Lupusregina and many of the female NPCs petitioned to Momonga to allowed to challenge the Sapphire Slime for the position. To give them an opportunity to have the chance the Miyoshi Cup was created to determine if any of the participants had what it took to be a bathing attendant. The event also served as a way to select women that were needed to create a harem so as to activate a dangerous golem in Spa Resort Nazarick so CZ could disarm it. Lupusregina was among the finalists to be selected for the harem, but as for who would be the bathing attendant, Momonga defeated all of the participants in the final test thus allowing Miyoshi to go unchallenged.

After Nazarick received a priority [Message] from Cocytus that the Great Lake area was being frozen by a abnormal cold wave and threatening to freeze the lizardmen and driving the native monsters from the northern monsters, Lupusregina alongside Entoma and CZ were sent to determine the cause of the weather change. Before they left they were given Christmas Costumes to protect them from the frigid temperatures. They made their way towards the northern mountains following the source, on occasion fighting beasts that were trying to escape for the cold. The maids finally came to a cave where the found a Crack and the Frozen Giant that was continuously bashing anything that emerged from the phenomena, its strength creating the wind pressure that was creating the cold front. The monster proves to be very formidable but Entoma was able to deduce a weakness in its structure allowing the maids to set fire on it and cause to crumble. To draw its attention CZ used herself as bait long enough for Lupusregina to set fire on the vines holding the thing together. After their successful mission the group returned to Nazarick just in time for the second Christmas party.

Some old visitors to Nazarick returned to the dungeon and were being harassed by an evil clone of one of their associates. In a plan to seduce the clone and seal her power, Lupusregina participated in a plan to set up an Cat Café where she and Lupusregina used several cats to appeal to the clone and set the mood for the date. During this time Lupusregina befriended a new face among the guests of Nazarick.

The Pleiades were called into session by Yuri to brainstorm some ideas on what kind of chocolate she should help Aura make for Project Valentine. In her she made a note that the chocolate from Valentine's Day was of a different quality served at the cantina. She acted as one of the judges for the taste test of the confections for the project. Lupusregina would also be present at the second campaign for LittleMass, and cheered alongside the general maids and her sisters at Acidity and Alkaline's final performance.

Lupusregina would also participate in a performance test of Tsuibayaya's swimsuits against those in the Treasury. Like the others she concluded that the dwarf's creations were still inferior to those in Nazarick's possession. Yuri seeking to escape the perverted gaze of Shalltear hid behind Lupusregina. When the "Nazarick Swimsuit Athletic Meet" was organized, Lupusregina chose to Shalltear's Red Group. At the first competition called "Sandy Beach Obstacle Race" Lupusregina came in third place at the finish line, but White Group still won thanks to the extra points Albedo earned for defeating the obstacle monsters. In the second competition, which was the "Floating Island Survival", the maid was the first to jump on the platform and maintain her balance in the center of the float. Lupusregina would have to skirt to the edge of the platform to avoid being in Yuri's way when she landed on the float next, but Red Group won after the float broke in half due to the weight of White Group. At the last competition of "Mix Gender Water Cavalry", Lupusregina served as one of Shaltear's carriers along with Solution. They carried their team leader against not just Albedo's White Group but also Momonga. Ultimately the game turned into a tie, though Lupusregina and the participants celebrated the game as it proved to be a fun experience.

While the E-Rantel Magic Research Institute was setting up barriers around the Northern Cave to prevent another horde from escaping. Lupusregina, Yuri and Shalltear snuck into the area to do another search, this time to see if they could acquire another specimen of an unknown beast. The trio were unable to locate anything significant, resulting in Shalltear making the decision to head back to Nazarick on her own, while the two maids continued scouting the area. When the two maids returned back to Nazarick, they were surprised to learned that Shalltear was still not back yet. Later it was found that Shalltear was under the incomplete mental influence of a World Item. Lupusregina and Yuri learning of their comrade's fate tried to take the blame for the incident as Shalltear they believed that had they been present with Shalltear they could have prevent it. Momonga did not see it that way as it was he who dispatched them outside Nazraick.

Later at a Tsukimi organized by Momonga for the NPCs, Lupusregina and Entoma were seen happily chowing down on dango at the moon-viewing, though CZ asked them not to spray their food out while they were eating.

Later at the approaching Halloween Festival, Lupusregina and CZ took time to cheer Foire up as she was still troubled by her experience with being controlled by a Pumpkin Monster during the last Halloween event. After Foire decided to put her effort to making sweets for the festival Lupusregina encouraged her to do her best. For the festival, Lupusregina dressed as her worker identity Regi. As part of the festival Regi was stationed with Demiurge and Momonga in his office to observe the defense training part of the festivities.

Lupusregina would be one of the maids acting as escorts to a trio of magical girls that arrived in Nazraick via the Crack. Later she and her sisters would assist them in returning home by nullifying the Chaos Beasts around the Crack in the Tob Forest.

Lupusregina was reported to be still collecting information in the Empire with CZ around the time when E-Rantel was experiencing a minor epidemic. The E-Rantel Magic Research Institute requested more Contaminated Beasts to experiment on. Nazarick was unable to dispatch CZ or Lupusregina to the mountains as Momonga did not wish to recall them just yet. She and CZ did return back to Nazarick to attend a commemorative Christmas party to celebrate the protagonist’s success in curing the disease afflicting E-Rantel. Since Narberal was in the field and absent from the party Lupusregina offered to save some of the food for her, however CZ saw through her lie and tried to stop her from snagging the treat, getting into a childish fight between her and Entoma.

At the orders of Momonga to prepare for a possible "New Year" event that would affect Nazarick, Lupusregina with her sisters did a "general cleaning" of Spa Resort Nazarick. Together with Sebas Tian they found no traces of anything.

Later when Momonga decided to forgo some caution against celebrating the "New Year" and host a Kakushigei Tournament, Lupusregina and the Pleiades were assigned to act as escorts with Sebas Tian and Pandora's Actor to protect the general maids in the spectator seats. Once again donning her kimono, Lupusregina enjoyed the opening ceremony and matches between the Floor Guardians. Her favorite match though was between Albedo and Demiurge. Once the tournament ended however, Lupusregina and the rest present in the Amphitheater found themselves transported in an odd Chaos Zone. Whilst Momonga and his party went to investigate the Bishamonten Shrine, Lupusregina stayed behind with the others to ensure the safety of the general maids. Once Momonga and his party defeated the one responsible for the translocation, Lupusregina and the others were returned to the Amphitheater. She and the rest of Nazarick were introduced to Shiro, the current Ruler of New Year, and now an ally to Momonga. To celebrate this new friendship, the maid ed in the festivities in watching Shiro play spinning tops with Aura and Mare.

When new visitors from another world came, Lupusregina observed a mock battle between the Demon Lord and Shalltear in the Amphitheater with a few of the Pleiades.
