Chapter Nine: Song vs. Oxton

"Alright Oxton, playtime's over! This ends now!"

Hana cried over the megaphone of her MEKA as see swooped down from above toward the location of a hiding Lena. Panic swept through her body as she witnessed the large metallic death trap head right toward her. Her mind racing on what she should do, she took a step back not taking her eyes off the MEKA. In that moment she decided to flee as Hana was right on her tail.

She could always blink away...but Hana would still be on her trail with her new contraption. She had no more pulse bombs on her to use on her...but that didn't stop her from frantically checking her pockets anyway for something to distract her...wait a second...

There was one left...this was her only hope.

She had to get away from her. Going back wasn't an option. Failure wasn't an option.

"We'll see about that!!" Lena shouted, slinging around as she threw her last pulse bomb onto the MEKA. It landed perfectly on it's right leg without any commotions. Right before Hana could examine what it was, it blew up on the leg, causing the MEKA to tilt over in the sky losing its balance as it was beginning to plummet to the ground. This was Lena chance to escape and as she blinked away as Hana was trying desperately to gain control again.

She waved the controls desperately trying to save herself from another terrible accident. Trying so hard not to panic herself. But with the grace of luck she managed to regain her balance just before she was close to the ground. Thankfully she able to safely land and let out a sigh of relief the moment the MEKA's feet touched the earth. She tried to take a good look where she could to see if the MEKA suffered any serious damages, but fortunately It only got scuffed up quite a bit.

"Ugh! I just got his too!!"

It was only for a few minutes but Lena felt like she was running forever. Using every drop of juice her accelerator could produce she wanted to make sure she got away from the rookie as possible. Her surroundings didn't concern her in the slightest. Her only concern was to escape.

She ran.

And ran.

And ran.

And ran until her legs couldn't carry her any more and she fell over in her knees gasping for air and sweat pouring down her face. She silently cursed her stamina failing her as she picked her soft off the ground to dust herself off. For a split second she believed she was safe until there was a sound of footsteps approaching her. Panicked and paranoid, she whipped out her pulse pistol spray guns from heir case holders and she stood there armed and forced, ready for whatever was approaching. She looked around until she located a shadow from behind a corner growing bigger as the figure was coming her way. Lena faced the direction, her fingers tightly on the trigger not keeping the eyes off the shadow. The only things she could hear if the sounds of the footsteps getting louder and the pounding of her own heart. Her breathing got shaky as she tried to keep herself from trembling as the figure was turning the corner. She held her breath as the figure revealed itself...

"Holy smokes, Lena! There you are!!!" The figure noticed she was pointing her guns at them "Woah here! Don't shoot! Don't you recognize me?"

It took Lena a few minutes to realize that it was none other then Jamison who she sorta abandoned when fleeing from Hana earlier. At first she was relieved that it wasn't Hana, then she got angry because Jamison nearly gave her a heart attack.

"Damn It, Junkrat! You nearly scared me to death!" Lena spat before lowering her weapons and closing her eyes and took deep breaths trying to calm her heart rate.

"I'm sorry, but I was just only looking for you...say have you seen Roadhog anywhere?"

"Wasn't he with you?"

"We...uh...kinda split once that Officer chick showed up and you ran off. I've been trying to find him, but I have no idea where he ran off too."

"How can you not find him?" Lena walked past him checking around the corner not feeling safe in one location for long. "He's kinda hard to miss."

She signaled him that the close is clear and they continued their escape together as well as looking for Jamison's partner. Lena never withdrew her pistols on the look out for Hana as well as her own safety...but just when they thought they were safe...

"Did you really think you could get away that easy?"

Lena and Jamison turned around to see the MEKA towering down upon them at full speed. Hana had them right where she wanted them and there was no way she was letting her slip again.

"Shit! How'd she find us that fast!?!" Jamison shriek

Lena readied her pulse pistols at the incoming MEKA and gave a quick glance to him. "Jamison you have to go now! You know what'll happen if you get caught again!"

"But what about you?"

"I'll be fine! Don't worry about me" Lena cried trying to sound reassuring, but somewhat failing. "Now go!"

He lingered for a second looking back at the MEKA then at back at Lena. He didn't want to abandoned her but at the same time he couldn't risk getting arrested again. Lena's eyes never left the MEKA but she could sense Jamison's hesitation. "I SAID GO!" she screamed, giving Jamison the reassurance he needed for him to flee.

Once she could tell that Jamison was gone...it was just her and Hana once agin. Her fingers where on the trigger ready to strike at a moments notice.

"Alright Rookie. You want to end this? Let's end this!"

Hana was approaching the Speed Artist, happy that things are going according to plan...but the closer she got to Lena, she could tell she was holding something. She studied them for a short while trying to figuring out in her mind what in earth was she holding. By the time she realized she was holding gun...Lena fires away at her, causing Hana to swerve out the way from the borage or bullets. Dumbfounded, Hana flipped the controls for her to fire back at her and began her retaliation. As Hana fired back, Lena blinked and dodged her way out of every shot fired back at her with the occasional childish taint thrown is which is to be expected from Lena. Growing frustrating, Hana increased her her firing power and continued her attack. The speedy tagger continue to dodge her every move showing off with a cartwheel or a flip to show that she was no match for her, until just in the nick of time one of Hana's shots hits Lena in her left shoulder causing her to tumble over toward the ground making her land on her side. Lena laid there motionless as Hana was approaching her.

"Okay, Oxton. Enough is enough. Get up or I'll have to use force." Hana demanded clearly tired of his charade. And she waited for Lena's response, sparks of blue lights surrounded the motionless Lena as it consumed her entire body within a matter of seconds. Then just as quickly as it began it vanished with Lena vanishing too.

"What the- Where did she go?" Hana began looking around refusing to accept she lost her yet again. Soon a whistle was heard and Hana turned around to find where it came from.

"Looking for me?"

Just as Hana turned around Lena popped out of nowhere and assaults her and her MEKA with another borage or shots from her pulse pistols. This caught Hana off guard but not enough for her to escape he borage to avoid more damage with Lena on her pursuit.

They two fired against each other for what it seemed like an eternity. Each one always had the upper hand on one another. It's like they both knew each move the other was going to make. But neither one of them was willing to give up.

Lena reloaded her pistols and blinked her way towards Hana who back was turned, she turned around at the right moment and fired at Lena...

...and then it happened.

Lena once again fell flat on the ground and tumbled harder then her previous fall. She crashed hard against the asphalt letting out groans of pain before she came to a stop resulting on her laying motionless on her side once again. Hana waited to see if she would recall again, but something was different this time. She was struggling to get up and the most noticeable thing was the contraption on her chest was glitching out. Lena finally rose to inspect her malfunctioning accelerator and noticed that right in the middle was a bullet hole where Hana was aiming. Lena's face turn pale as pure terror washed over her as she glared at Hana who was now staring at her with the same look of concern and guilt.

"What have you done!?!"

A/N: Soooo...I know I wasn't on this as fast as I'm usually am, so to make up for it i wanted to make this chapter a bit longer the others for you guys! I hope you all enjoyed it!
