"What do I need to let go of to fully embrace this descent?"
For week 3 I've decided to use The Wandering Spirit Tarot, a deck I'm fond of for shadow work and heavier topics.

1- What am I holding on to that keeps me from going deeper?
The queen of cups, I think, is telling me I'm overly sensitive to my emotions. That emotional pain is keeping me from exploring the issues more deeply.
2- What fears or beliefs are keeping me attached to this?
The 6 of cups reversed says I'm stuck on my memories and can't let go of the past. This fits perfectly with the first card for me.
3- What steps can I take to facilitate the release of this attachment?
The world- I'm a little unsure of how this card fits, but it's about a lack of completion or closure. Perhaps I have to acknowledge this lack of completion and plan a better way forward. Or maybe I have to learn to accept that I won't be able to get closure on some matters.
4- What other challenges or obstacles does this attachment create?
The 7 of pentacles shows slow progress in financial and other worldly matters. I think it also says that I have difficulty seeing the progress that I've made.
5- What will I learn from this release?
The 8 of cups reversed says I will learn to move on from situations that don't work for me so I can find a better path.
6- What do I need to keep in mind as I continue this work?
The devil reversed tells me to be mindful of temptations during this work. I will have to either have to break free of or be careful not to fall into bad habits.
