I know some witchy folk enjoy working under the guidance of specific animals, whilst others prefer not to. Personally, I have felt connected to wolves my entire life - their freedom, strength, resolution, beauty, wisdom.
Do you work with animal guides/want to work with them? If you do, which animals are you drawn to? If not, is there a specific reason? Or do you just prefer to focus on energies from other sources? Just curious!
*I mean NO cultural appropriation whatsoever. Just connection with animals.

Im a folk witch, i use animal bones in divination, and in general spellwork, i always work with the spirits of the animals and tap into their energy to learn what i can where i can from them

I selected other because I work more with the energy of an animal rather than with a guide itself.
I suppose I meant both ways - energy and guidance

Yeah, but a guide to me is like an entity or spirit. So, that'd be what I meant when I said I don't work with them in that way. It's more like the energy of the animal.
For example, I'll use an animal oracle deck, and work with the energy of what animal I pulled.
