Hey y'all! Here's another long post. This time around I'm gonna talk about my relationship with another one of my deities, Eros! If you're interested in working with him, here's what he's like with me.

What He Looks Like
Eros appears to me as a young man. His hair is honey-colored, and his eyes are a darker shade of hazel. He is in his mid-twenties, and is very physically fit. He is very tall, over six foot, and has a huge set of pinkish-white wings.
How He Acts And Interacts With Me
He's very ive. He's equal parts comforter and protector. He acts very seriously, and doesn't have much of a sense of humor. He's not my patron, but he interacts with me more frequently than my other non-patron deities do.
He can be very nonchalant, but when he wants attention he makes sure that he gets it. He kind of comes in and out in phases; he's either really present or not there at all. His presence feels somewhat heavier than my other deities. Most of the time he likes to visit me at night.
That being said, Eros is a very chill deity. He likes any offering I give him, but he doesn't ask for things very often.
When I use my pendulum with him, I usually get very strong answers. He doesn't really use the word 'maybe': it's always yes or no.
He is set in his decisions and feelings, and stays true to his gut. He can be very blunt, but he does care about me and can be very affectionate.
He likes indie and alternative rock, especially Harry Styles and Bad Suns.
He acknowledges Aphrodite (my patron goddess) and Ares as sort of his adoptive parents. In my experience, he aligns more with the myth of him being a primordial being, but he loves them like his family.
What I Do To Honor Him
Some offerings that Eros has liked are strawberry popsicles, apple juice, seashells, and cherry cola.
I have a playlist dedicated to him, as well as a Pinterest board.
I keep an altar dedicated to him. On his altar is a candle (citrus and sandalwood I think), a silver key, a small rooster figurine, and a red seashell.
I like to play guitar and piano for him.
I also like to pick my outfits based on his color correspondences. I've found that he likes dark pinks and reds the best. I also have two bracelets dedicated to him. I have a bottle of perfume dedicated to him, and I wear it in honor of him.
I do pendulum and shufflemancy readings with him. I've found that he doesn't really like tarot, and prefers to get straight to the point in his answers. I also pray to him as part of my nightly rituals.
What He's Helped Me With
Eros has helped me with a lot of things, and I'm very grateful for him. He's helped me realize what I really want in a relationship, and what boundaries I need to set. He's also helped me to realize that attraction does not equal compatibility, and that every relationship I have can't end up being "the one." He helped me work through my feelings about old crushes, and realize that they aren't what I want anymore. He’s also helped me to work through reservations about relationships and sex, as well as working through internalized homophobia. Overall, he's helped me through a lot of loneliness and emotional turmoil, and I'm glad that I work with him.
