Hey, lovelies, today I'm here to discuss my patron Aphrodite. If you would have asked me a few weeks ago if I had a patron, I would have said no. It wasn't until I sat down to think about this week's OWC. It dawned on me that Aphrodite has pushed me so far and opened up my mind. This week's post, I dedicate to the lovely Aphrodite.

Let's start from the beginning, shall we. I had my mind set on which deities I would like to honour and worship. Aphrodite wasn't one of the ones on my mind. Gradually I started getting signs, at first I thought it was Apollo. It wasn't until I asked the lovely people over at the Aphrodite chat if they could confirm if the signals sounded like Aphrodite. Which, they did. I proceeded to speak with the Goddess through Tarot divination. I properly became to worship her on August 30th of 2020.

Aphrodite has not only helped me but my path. She has helped me become a more confident person. My self esteem has rised so much since I've had her. I have felt happier in my own skin, a lack of self doubt, more motivation, and a push towards water. I have since really gotten into water magick. It's so much fun and I've learned a lot.

My first spell jar was dedicated to Aphrodite. I performed the working on October 31st. It worked so fast (That's just my expierence for some of you spells may take longer to work and that's okay !). Within a week, I loved the way my body looked, my acne didn't bother me as much (as well as didn't look as bad) and wanted to take better care of myself.

I still suffer from my mental illnesses. She can't help with that but she has pushed me to want to get more help. I have stopped taking so much from other people. Overall, I've been doing so much better.

After all I've went over, I feel as though it's time to explain why, Aphrodite is my patron. She is my patron not because she has helped me along, Apollo and Hekate have done that as well. I am grateful for them as well. She is my patron because I feel a stronger connection to her as of recently. I've felt more of a pull from her. She has been the one to push me, and lead me on in my path the most. I am the closest to her as well.

If you don't have a patron, that doesnt make you an less equal to those who do. It's all a preference. You don't need one or a deity in general. If you choose to just to do your research and be safe :)
