Hey y'all! Here's another post where I list a couple ways to connect and form a relationship with a deity. This time it's Selene, Greek Titan of the moon.
1. Research The Moon
Take some time to learn more about the moon! You can go the scientific route and watch a documentary about the moon landing, or research how the moon interacts with Earth, or you can go the witchy way and learn about lunar magic! Either way, research can only enhance your relationship with the goddess.
2. Offerings
Some offerings to Selene could be white or black candles, moonstone, smoky quartz, or selenite, flowers (like poppies and wallflowers), moon imagery, depictions of her sacred animals (bulls and cattle) and nocturnal animals, or peaceful night-time activities like meditation and reading.
3. Include Her In A Spell
Any spell that corresponds with moon phases would work, as would cleansing and protection rituals.
4. Stargaze
Take some time to sit outside (or near a window) and look at the night sky. You can draw or record what you see (like what phase the moon is in, different constellations, etc.) or simply just enjoy the lovely view.
5. Poetry and Art
Lots of poets have been inspired by the moon in the past. Read some poetry that draws on that imagery , or write one of your own and dedicate it to her. The same can be done with art.
