Chapter 1
Twenty-Four Hours Earlier
Absol was currently working at the hangar at a local base airfield without a care in the world since all he did was maintenance and train the next generation of a renamed group called The Fall of Darkness. The hours were not a problem as he was usually home just in time for dinner or wherever he needed to be if his daughter had an extracurricular or an appointment was set in place somewhere. It had been about a year or two since he just sort of phased out of following orders or well… worked his way out of a situation. The first couple of months were a bit stressful as he always had something to do, somewhere to be, people to save, and now he sort of reverted back to focusing on solely two things, his family and himself. So it had caused some rifts on top of previous existing rifts with his wife Jane, but eventually after going to therapy for himself in secret and then inviting Jane to couple’s therapy did they really get to understand each other. It was a great start to venting about their insecurities and doubts that one needed reassurance and action. He had even gone as far as to explaining why he looks to the skies, not because he misses it, but always a doubt of did he make the universe a better place or what sections he traveled and the people he interacted with. The ripple effect theory he liked to think that his best and the people who saw the best in him positively echoed. He also thought the places he made splashes weren’t the biggest echos. In fact, it was the calmest of ripples who seemed to have seen the light he wanted to show.
At some point before his shift was over, it was like an alarm had gone off in his head as he looked in the air in a specific direction as Anubis had appeared over his right shoulder. Another A.I. appeared over his left as it seemed to tilt its head in confusion of what was going on.
“What’s going on?” The A.I. asked as this was no normal stargazing or cloud watching as it knew they saw or felt something. Though Absol wouldn’t have known either if Anubis didn’t direct him in where the signal was coming from.
“Mmm… nothing that concerns us. Yet probably, or ever. Welp time to head home!” Absol said as he hurried and put on his commoner hoodie and gathered his backpack as Anubis continued to look in the specific direction before scuffing and disappearing.
On a black-sited area twenty miles below the surface
Scientists and operators were working on kicking on a back-up generator that seemed to never fail in case of a power outage. They were working against the clock to get it back in running as this facility was made to contain what some would call an actual universal threat had it ever gotten out. The clock had struck zero as the eyes of a male human had slowly begun to open his eyes as the color was hazy as he began to look around.
“We’ve been asleep for too long…the others may have been black-sited as well. I think it’s time we get out.”
A voice inside the man’s head had softly spoke to the being as sirens began to go off due to a cyber attack causing them to lose control of their weapons as the same weapons that activated to blast the prisoner, was now being controlled by an unknown entity in which is began to blast and shred the laboratory apart. While that was happening and chaos ensued, the machine released the man as he slid out coughing and unable to stand as an A.I. controlled cart hovered to him, and he hoisted himself onto it. As it began to move him through the base as he would gain feelings in his legs and eventually be able to stand up. This was an odd sequence since he had been caged for so long and hadn’t physically moved in about the same amount of time.
The defense systems had completely gone haywire, but luckily enough, it was not connected to any main frame systems. Walking down the hallway, a bunch of guards and what seemed to be the leader had cut him off.
“Priceless or not, you’re being put down. FIRE!”
The leader ordered as bullets began to rain fire as the man’s head lowered a little bit as he thought to himself. ‘Tontos’ as a light barrier would protect him as the man raised his fingers and swiped it left as a defense system would come out of the wall and scorch them with multiple quick burst lasers. Walking over, the man would see a locker room and enter it as he began to dress himself fully and check himself out in the mirror before heading to the hangar, leaving death and destruction to the facility. His last goodbye would be activating the self-destruct sequence.
On an uncharted planet
??? Would begin to murmur to themselves as their A.I. kept talking about how something was coming and that they could feel it, and they needed to return to the Continental Planet. Though ??? brushed it off as they continued to walk as they continued to monitor a few people following them for the past couple of blocks, and if they were any smart themselves they would’ve known they were doing a mile-long figure eight in a way. Walking into a deep alleyway and entering an abandoned building, low and behold, they were followed in as well. Within a couple of minutes, gunshots would echo within the building before an eerie silence.
At the Morris-Mastrianno Residents
Absol was eating at the table with his family as Anubis had basically gone mute in a sense due to what Anubis had felt across certain systems and incidents. Anubis was in agreement that they kept everything quiet because UNSC, ONI, or someone would just handle it, and it’d all go away. High hopes that would post little to no results since everything was about to be pulled away from each other to avoid much of the unison, of course. Liz noticed something outside on the front lawn as she would point out to what seemed to be a bunch of figures in their yard. Upon seeing this with a sigh, Absol had gotten up and looked at Jane.
“Il piano, la mia anima gemella”
Jane had to correct him on the last two words pronunciation as Absol waved it off as she gathered the children and closed all the blinds and made sure everything was locked as Absol walked out armorless with his swords on his back and just in case he had a couple of firearms on him as well.
“I honestly don’t think this is a great idea.”
Anubis said to Absol, who seemed to shrug it off, thinking this was a great idea as Anubis simply sighed and disappeared, getting ready for the fan to spin the shit. Wait.. no… shit hit the fan. Human were so hard at times for Anubis, but he had to listen to it.
“Absol Morris. You and Anubis will have to come with us. This will ensure your family’s safety.” The robot said as Anubis was able to run a good scan across all of them with systems Jane helped implement in their yard and surrounding area. None of them were human, all robots, and possibly a hive mind of them as well, which meant no reasoning could deter them.
“yeah… I don’t really want to. It’s best if you go ahead and just leave because I guarantee my body won’t leave this area by someone’s request or force.” Absol said as the ‘lead’ robot would reiterate the same sentence, but this time taking a step forward, which made Absol take a step back.
Twenty. There were ten of them as Absol faked as if he was going to flee into the house as the robot rocket boosted towards him, being sniped out of the air. The second the robot had been shot, Absol turned around with dual automatic pistols and began to start laying waste or try to at least. Italy took a deep breath as she pulled the lever on her sniper and scoped again seeing that pistol bullets did dent the robots, and even pierced, but didn’t stop or slow them where the holes were seen. She began to lay cover fire for those that she could see as Absol began to dodge bullets from the robots as Anubis and his second A.I were calculating and being extra eyes for him to achieve these feats of dodging the bullets. Some of the robots had caught wind of where Italy was shooting as they began to fly towards her, but not before she plucked two of them out of the air and drew her close ranged weapon.
“Ci risiamo”
Italy said as she could’ve sworn she left Chorus for this exact reason, but she guessed it was just destiny that she’d always have to deal with something really stupid, like Absol or something really dangerous like these robots. Firing at the robots as she basically pushed backward into the forestry behind her to give her cover, especially using the older and thicker trees when possible.
Absol used what cover they had in their yard that spanned from cars and trees to avoid bullets as well as he managed to kill one with his pistols but had run dry. Taking them, he tossed them at robots who shot them and detonated smokescreen pellets that Absol had placed on them, and the second the smoke screen started, bullets would rain a slither in a hole from the basement.
“my turn.”
Jane said to herself as she began to light up some of the robots caught in the pellet with lethal full metal jacket rounds that ripped through them before she ran dry herself and would head off to ensure Liz was with her siblings and perfectly hidden. They were basically prepared for the worst as they had addresses, names, and even numbers to phones or companies that they shouldn’t have numbers to.
“Heavy fire, heavy fire, I’m taking heavy fire and pinned in the forest. My coordinates in the forest are explosions before it went static “
Italy went tumbling and rolling into an open field as the robots began to close in on their kill. Using what willpower she had, she began to gather herself and load what clips she could into her gun before laying flat and firing into the forest. The bullets continued to fly back and forth before a whistling sound could be heard as a mortar was fired with precision and began to fall on Italy’s position. Her face grew pale as she rolled over and tried to keep her arms out of harm's way from the reigning bullets as she shot at the mortar to attempt to get it to detonate.
“Fuck.”
Italy said as it fell closer before someone or something whizzed by colliding into the mortar causing it to explode safely above Italy. Whatever had hit it continued to fly as it began to make an U-turn back towards the position of the robots. Italy rolled over to see the robots coming out of the forest before explosions began to cripple and dismember them as the explosions were a bit wild rather than controlled as two beings landed with jetpacks scanning the area. One being had an anodized yellow and green suit as the other branded gold, blue, and red, that was more camo and dark than anodized.
“No time to wait. The second team may need assistance.”
The Colombian flag armored female said to Italy tossing a jetpack before the two late comers quickly took off and flew back towards the house scanning the forest below and dropping explosions on stragglers as they continued their way towards the Morris-Mastrianno house.
The kids were holed up now in an area of the house that was unmapped and wouldn’t be traced no matter the amount of tracking and scanning as far as they knew. Jane grabbed some of the last weapons and ammo boxes as Absol had made it back in the house as it seemed the second wave of robots were coming, but with more artillery. Once he was back in, that's when he and Jane would make eye as she gave a soft, but saddened smile as Absol returned the same smile as Jane brought a DMR over and handed it to him followed by a kiss.
“The count is 38 to 18. So, make your bullets count.” Jane said as Absol made a bit of a disgusted face as he would inform her about something.
“You literally had like a minigun or something, I was shooting pistols and stuff.”
Absol said as Jane turned a corner signaling excuses as they prepared to make what seemed to be a final stand or hopefully propel the opposition to regroup and come back later when they were gone. It felt great to be away from the city to avoid all the loud noises for once and kind of live off grid, but now it seemed to be their demise due to someone wanting to really find them.
The second they saw the first bot the bullets began to fly back and forth as each window was a window of opportunity, but they ensured they didn’t stay rooted to one place for too long as they continued to fire back and forth. The only problem now was the house being bombarded by explosions and invaded as Absol left his guns with Jane in the dining room while he used his swords within the building. It was overwhelming and with each bullet and metal body hitting the ground it seemed endless as Italy was able to get back on communication and relay they were on their way. Then another voice would come in.
“FOD squadron coming in, boots on the ground, two birds in the sky. O’captain my captain”
As aircrafts hovered and began to focus firing on the artillery striking the house as the ground team began to take the enemy from the rear as they were able to locate the cloaked ship hidden off in the woods. This bought a few more minutes for Italy and the two newcomers to re them and one by one take down the robots. On the brink of death and defeat slowly was overturned to massive damage to the house and nearby forest alongside a bunch of scrap metal for later.
“Everything seems to… be somewhat fine. No major injuries outside of bruising and cuts.”
Echo scanned Italy and made sure to jot it down in the medical logs and transferred it over to Absol as she finished up while the others dropped off the metal in one big pile for the clean up crew to come get and do their best to find out where they came from and possibly why. Though the why laid with Absol so they assumed it was A.I based, but in order to see just how deep it ran would require this process.
“Everything checks out. Let’s go Absol, you know the protocol now and it’s best we get a move on now.”
Colombia said as Absol sighed and would walk with Jane and the kids back inside as he helped them pack and he began to pack his things to head with the country agents back to their world. Liz was jabbering about all the cool things dad was going to bring back once he was done being protected as she stuffed her clothes into a suitcase instead of folding it. Jane on the other hand wasn’t so pleased with Absol running off again. Before he would just disappear to stop it before it happened, but it seemed that his hope in others to stop it for him had faded. Jane felt the warmth of Absol hug her from behind as he kissed her cheek.
“I promise we will get this figured out, and it’d probably be a week at most. Possibly some weird people who got wind or defects from other companies.”
Absol said quietly to her as Jane turned her head softly and began to kiss him gently before removing his arms from around her.
“You’re right. WE are going to figure this out. Together” Jane said as she reached down under the bed and removed her old and new gear as she placed it down onto the bed. “We didn’t go to couple and family therapy to see you wander off and become isolated again. I’ve already called and the grandparents are more than pleased to take them. So it’s done and you need to hurry and gather your things.” Jane said shooing him away as they needed to get going now as all the arrangements were set.
It seemed Absol had no say so. . . so he did as his wife instructed as he went into their closet and began to remove some items as he placed them in specific suitcases and a backpack and once it was on he would walk out with Jane hand in hand as they went to the pelican waiting. Liz and the twins had already been informed on what was happening, but only Liz was old enough to comprehend it as an all black vehicle had come and got them five minutes prior to Absol finishing. Though he did see them off with Jane, so he was doing something right in his eyes. As he was walking he was hearing Mel talk about what the FOD was going to do, and to prepare to follow them, which caused him to stop.
“Y’all aren’t going Mel. I am thankful you were here as planned if something did happen, but you aren’t leaving this planet.”
Absol said as he was stern and to the point as Mel, Echo, Wind, and the rest of the group looked at him with betrayal and shock. Almost as if they didn’t show up and help kick ass and melt names with their coordinated strikes.
“You need us. You said it yourself, we are one of the best squadrons the air and space will ever see.” Mel protested as some nodded in agreement to what she said.
“Yes, but not this time. I need to ensure the best squadron stays here. On home world, just in case something happens. Plus this was probably a warm up for the firestorm. So you’re staying here.” Absol said as he motioned Jane to keep going as he followed a step behind her, as Mel went to rebuttal what he was saying he was quick to cut her off. “If I catch any of you within radar distance, radio distance, or any indication you’re close, I’ll knock you out the sky. All of you. I can’t have you subjected to what I saw at your age. Well… Wind you’re old but the rest of you.” Absol said as Wind scoffed as it got quiet after that as the FOD watched their captain/mentor walk onto the pelican.
The pelican door closed and within just a minute they had disappeared into the sea of blue above their heads as they exited the atmosphere. It was quiet as most were just winding down or mentally preparing themselves for whatever conclusion was coming as Italy couldn’t help, but look diagonally towards the back at Brazil and Colombia. The last time she spoke to them, she said she’d hurt them or even kill them after finding out they were supposed to assassinate her due to some reasons of the higher ups. They seemed to only be staring straight ahead, motionless and quiet as if they were robots themselves. Italy gulped and took a huge breath as she got up and moved down to break the ice, if it was indeed a huge problem that they had to face, she didn’t want any animosity on the battlefield.
“Uh.. hey Brazil and Colombia…” An awkward silence was in between the couple of seconds of the soldiers’ heads seeming to slightly move to give Italy their full attention. “It’s been awhile huh?” Italy said as she felt like this was a horrible way to start a conversation with two people who were probably ready to blow a hole in the pelican if she even flinched wrong.
“Four hundred and seventy-two days, thirteen hours, twenty-four minutes, and closing in on thirty seconds.” Brazil said as each number banged across Italy’s head as it seemed someone was keeping track as Colombia simply removed her helmet and placed it on the helmet holder above herself. She had gotten… older in Italy’s eyes, she seemed maturer in the eyes when they locked.
“It's been awhile. Lots of healing, growing, and maturing.” Colombia said softly as it was ten times more relieving than Brazil keeping up with the exact date since their fall out. Italy gave a soft smile as they were technically still kids to her, but a year and some months definitely could change people.
“What have you guys been up to?” Italy asked as she could feel the dull daggers of Brazil through Brazil’s visor as it seemed she wasn’t buying the make amends act just yet. She was actually curious since she wasn’t completely oblivious that they were somewhat close to Absol before the fall out in a way, so they probably had some form of even if it was formal.
“I’ll do the talking for us both. Brazil has been an asset in a way as she teaches rookie bomb defs on how to defuse bombs, and outside of that she just lounges around and worksout. As for me I work at Disney for fun and for actual work, I go around ensuring children are safe. I stop the bad things from happening and break up the rings when possible. I do hope you enjoyed some if not all of the Disney related gifts.” Colombia said as Italy looked at Colombia confused before realizing the gifts were coming directly from Colombia… she just thought Absol was doing it after sometime.
Italy hardly got choked up, but she was able to nod and then squeak out a question “Where’s the third one in your trio?” She asked quietly as it was the first time she had ever seen them separated that wasn’t within explosion distance.
“At home base. Hopefully ready to see us, well… us as in me and Brazil. He stayed within the ranks, we technically did too, but only as reserves in a sense. It’s best to get some sleep Italy, if they went all out just to grab Kansas. Who knows what else is waiting for us. We can catch up another time.” Colombia said as Italy nodded as she watched Colombia slip her helmet back on and begin to look up at the roof. Italy looked over, seeing her sister basically under her husband’s skin as they were asleep.
Italy would make herself comfortable as she looked at a picture before putting it back in the armor compartment she took it out of. Eyes closing and hoping it was just one bad day and nothing that would strain them.

“Pulling back all animals to the home world, secret agents, and trainees, return to home world.” Blue said as he was huffing while Box Jellyfish and Black Mamba laid down heavy fire causing an enemy tank to explode and knock over multiple robots as aircraft chased each other in the skies and bodies of both sides laid in the open.
“You three gotta go. You gotta go now, we will hold them off, there’s no other cover for half a click, so you gotta use your time wisely and move… the best you can.” Tortoise said to Blue, Box, and Mamba as he looked down to Blue’s badly injured foot as Tortoise’s hand held Blue’s tightly. “Help will come, and if not, at least be the hope for others.” Tortoise said letting go before signaling shield squad to remove themselves from cover and attack the enemy head on as war cries went out and gunfire filled the air.
Box hoisted Blue up as the trio began running as many stayed on the frontline and those injured or deemed too valuable to lose now were sent further into the capital as many continued to fall back. The run was tiring and watching wave after wave of soldiers them by to attempt to divert or even push back the opposition weighed heavier on their hearts than the fatigue in their legs. Eventually they had made it, dropping Blue in the command center as they awaited for good news.
“The dark zone has repelled most of the attacks. STHV One is on their way here, Taipan and Dart Frog have repelled them from the rainforest, they’re on their way here. That’s it, everyone else has either gone dark or is still fighting with all hands on deck.”
A communication person had said to Blue when asked about it as it seemed this was a highly planned attack as they couldn’t even communicate off-world to their allies such as the Country Planet. They just hoped some breached the atmosphere and began firing off S.O.S signals.
A soldier dressed in pink carrying a lance was walking from the East side of what they assumed was the command center and where the A.I they were looking for was. She scanned the wall and tilted her head as a giant armored being almost looking like a giant metal ball was behind her.
“I don’t really like how we haven’t broken through this side and it’s one of the weakest sides. Thankfully, if I don’t like it, I can break it.” The woman said, chuckling to herself as she activated her weapon and as the air felt frizzy and like static as she swung it and stopped it at a halt right at the wall as vibrations began to shake the battlefield a bit.
She would watch people jump off the wall or try to flee as the wall crumbled and from there she signaled the giant metal ball to go, nodding the being would tuck itself and began to roll through any and everything that was in it’s way and if it could, it’d even go right through somethings. Humming the woman would swing her lance a bit as the robots stormed through the opening like the Alamo as most of the forces that were within the wall tried to keep them back as they were being overwhelmed and pushed further into the command center.
Taipan was running on foot as most of the troops from their battle were due to majority of the air and ground vehicles had been neutralized or redirected to aid other battles to turn the tide. She kept her form steady and breathing controlled as the communication had cut out several minutes ago. With the amount of distance between them and the capital she could only hope they got there in time as they continued forward. As for STHV One they were closer, but due to the rough terrain and aftermath of some battlefields it did cause them to slow down as they had lots of ground vehicles still intact as they would send the cheetah bikes to get there as fast as possible.
“You put up a good fight, but seriously we are going to need Ra now. We’ve run into some problems, so the less we play the whole ‘Oh we’ll never tell you’ ‘oh yes you will’ game. Let’s just cut straight to being truthful and you tell us.” the woman said as she continued to roam a bit before stopping in front of Blue who simply shrugged which caused the annoyance brewing inside of her to grow.
“We shipped him out. Ra is already long gone, because he was never here in the capital, it’d be too easy to locate, so good luck finding him.” Blue said truthfully as he honestly didn’t know where the A.I had gone since his last interaction with the STHVs and Deathstalker. This was a few months ago, and if any of them had it their way, then Ra was under the most heavily fortified place and protected by the absolute best outside of Toxic Team.
Nodding the woman looked around at most of the dead bodies besides the few that they rounded up. “Clever. Well we need to take something useful back such as a small victory, so…” the woman pulled her pistol and without looking aimed it at Box and pulled the trigger before hearing a lot of shuffling and metal on metal as she looked over to see the commotion. “Hmm it seemed, I didn’t shoot the right person, or someone was trying to be a hero to someone whose IQ is drastically low.” The woman said as Box held Blue in his arm as there was a detrimental hole in the right side of Blue’s chest. “Nevertheless, it’s something to report to Mastermind. Toodles.” The woman said as her and the golem would leave as the robots made sure to keep everyone in check until they were recalled.
Being held Blue didn’t feel anything but euphoria for some reason and the colors got brighter. “See… I told you.. I’d repay you for always being.. There.” Blue choked out as Box held him and began to signal and call for whatever medics and medical supplies they could rush over. It was hectic, everyone seemed so hectic… but it was okay, it was okay truly. The data and link to his suit began to transfer over to Box since they were in . “J-just take… me home Aurum…” Blue said quietly.
Eventually the reinforcements had arrived moments too late that was, as STHV One had the tanks and air clear and knocked out whatever troops remained as it sat down next to Box not saying a word. As Taipan and Dart had finally gotten there, they were greeted the same way to a motionless Box who held Blue in his arms. Medics sure all the warmth was gone, but they didn’t dare try to remove Blue from their arms, so they did other things or were on standby for when it was finally time. Taipan quietly walked over to Box putting her hand on his shoulder as Dart softly rubbed the top of his helmet as they motioned the medics to remove Blue for his proper burial. They had to pry the body out of his hand as they placed Blue in the hovering coffin and began to move it as Box would reach for the coffin as Dart and Taipan kept him from getting closed and just hugged him. They hugged him as tightly as possible as each one cried quietly to themselves, nothing but heavy breaths were made from them. STHV One would receive news that the ships were gone and communication to planets and people offline were back scratching its head it would walk over to the briefing room and have a seat as the Country Planet was responding nor was the doctor as it decided to just stay in the call until someone picked up.
On the Country Planet
Peru had carried an incapacitated China through the only opening of the emp fire wall trap as he got far enough to place her behind cover with some of the cadets as he peeked over at the opening as the few bots trying to get through were being cut down swiftly. Their communications had been cut from a ship above the atmosphere, but they had a few others on their way to take it down. Multiple red dots began to pop up on the radar as he called for ammo check and others started to relay their bullet count as he had to think about something here. The last communication was there were a few others returning from missions besides Colombia and Brazil returning with Absol. His eyes gazed over the cadets who seemed exhausted, training didn’t simulate an enemies will to kill or do harm to you; some had already saw friends, mentors, and more die as there seemed to be a moment of calmness despite the red dots pile up on the other side of the fire, but not one stepped through the opening. ‘God heal their hearts for what I’m about to do’ he prayed as he removed a photo and walked over to a cadet handing it to them. The visual confusion was shown on the cadet’s face as Peru would begin giving orders.
“Sweden F, start gathering all the heavy guns from the cadets, give them your pistol or a lighter weapon. Thailand start preparing them to fall back to one of the root bunkers. We are going to give them as much time as possible to get there. I need automatic turrets in the trees that can hold their weight, there’s one way out of our trap and it’s that hole right there so we focus on tunneling this way.”
The agents began to do as they were told as Thailand got the remaining cadets and would show them a map before transferring it to the designated leader as she would help them set up a carrier for China as their main mission was to protect China and get to the bunker. If getting to the bunker was unfeasible then they would need to hide China and possibly even lay down their lives. They understood the assignment as the one would head off to scout ahead a few meters as Thailand would hug her sister and cousin tightly before sending them off.
Within just a few moments there would be some screams of as bullets and explosions would start as they were trying to flood through, but the defense lines held them steady. Some of the bots even tried to just push through the emp fire which failed as the systems failed, but the emp fire wouldn’t hold forever due to being on for the past two hours, it was only meant for three and the time was ticking. The weapons continued to fire as both sides went back and forth as the ammunition began to dwindle as Sweden F dropped her gun and activated her viking mode as she took out her shield and sword moving forward to catch some combatants that didn’t die initially from bullets who tried to straggle. That’s when the fire would start to fail, it seemed they had found the tanks, Peru directed them to thin out, but stay within a reasonable eye distance as he sighed and loaded a few more explosive projectiles and would rig them on a timer to shoot, it was a guesstimate, but with how the fire was dying it shouldn’t be too far off.
The fire soon dropped and it felt like hell’s gate had been opened as they did their best at holding their own lines and keeping the bots from freely getting by. One by one a country fell down to the last three who were fifteen meters apart in a triangle hitting what they could as they were being swarmed using surrounding debris and nature to aid them. Venezuela moving sideways would feel multiple bullets pierce through his lower abdomen as he dropped he took his boom baton and tossed it in the direction of Peru. Taking his right hand he would touch his forehead, just under his sternum to his left shoulder and to his right shoulder as he took a deep breath and shouted Vamos as his suit would detonate sending a huge explosion and shockwave sending Thailand and Peru down to the ground. Looking at the baton Peru crawled over picking it up as he would wield not only the baton, but his baseball bat, his eyes gazed upon Thailand who gathered herself to her feet and began to resume throwing her javelins.
Thailand continued to take out small poles and activate them into much longer and dynamic ones as her throws were pinpoint and the effects helped fend off individuals as well as groups. She was exhausted, so exhausted as her arms ached as she had to throw at least fifty? No… at least one hundred? She couldn’t keep count anymore as it all got so hazy, as she turned and felt two bullets rip through her chest. Her eyes instantly shot up at the culprit as she released a javelin through its head and saw blood splatter onto the wall as the body hung from it as well. Blood? Perhaps it’s a mixture of humans and robots she thought as she fell to the ground chest first. Her muscles began to relax as she took a deep breath only to hear a couple of robotic voices.
“There’s no sign of China. It is believed this was a diversion to hold us here as long as possible. Let’s continue forward quickly, while the last agent is occupied.”
The group would jetpack forward as Thailand would feel life come to her lungs as she pushed up onto her knees with everything she had left. Taking out her times ten explosive javelin she’d place her left foot forward as she got to her feet and placed her right foot back as she galloped just a few paces before planting her left foot heavily into the ground and releasing the pole straight into the back of the middle of the pack fliers as it would detonate wiping out the group. Her momentum had carried her to the ground as her chest lay down on the ground and her eyes on the giant hole in the area she just created. The last thing she heard was salvation for whoever survived.
“IT’S A HIT IT’S A HIT, SAVANNAH SQUAD HAS TAKEN DOWN THE EMP COMM JAMMER SHIP, ALL TRANSMISSIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS ARE BACK ONLINE!”
Peru could hear the communication and chattering of multiple agents rendezvousing or seeking assistance elsewhere as he was holed up in a crumbling garage as he climbed out the back of the building through a broken window hitting the ground with a grunt. That’s when he would face another squadron full of guns and what seemed to heavy artillery units as he cursed at himself. They were barking orders for him to put his hands up slowly and eject himself from his suit as he only looked at the sky knowing his sisters and whoever survived from Team Vamos was going to get it back in blood and rock their shit every chance they got. Quickly he folded his arms over his chest sending a pulse causing multiple enemies to stumble as Peru rushed them and gunfire and explosions began once again.
A smokey gray haired lady with her guns holstered walked amongst the carnage and sighed as there were no signs of China or the A.I that was within the base. The woman could hear cluttered communications that there were multiple returning ships as she closed her eyes and thought tactically.
“Mastermind isn’t going to like this. It’s time to leave. We may have just kicked one of the biggest nests. ‘This is Ding, we’re flying back up, five minutes to pack everything up and leave. Relay this comm.’”
The woman said, sighing as a man behind her with a light machine-gun listened and would shoot a couple of the bodies to ensure they were dead as they left the building and would make their way out to their personal aircrafts.
Colombia, Brazil, and Italy were all getting personal signals and full director signals to return home as the pilot was pushing the limits of their aircraft. They thought it was bad that their communication wasn’t getting through, but they thought there was a possibility of being trailed only to find out that there was a direct attack at home base along with the entire planet. It wouldn’t be for another couple of hours before they would land at a damaged pad where they would get off and see the destruction to the base and the even bigger destruction to the city on the outside. Brazil and Colombia would head off towards Peru’s last signal seeing the bodies trailing from where the final stand seemed to start up until they got to a red, white, and ashy gray suit that laid there surrounded by multiple bodies. Brazil was first to drop by his side, shoving away an examiner who didn’t say anything as she cradled Peru’s lifeless body. Colombia held a hand to the examiner apologizing quietly as she knelt down listening to the sobbing of Brazil as Brazil apologized to Miguel for not being there sooner. Removing the helmet Colombia held it and looked on the inside before taking hers off and placing it on to see what he saw or at least what the footage recorded. Instead she would see a mission, a cadet mission as they had to fight their way up a simulation mountain and take a flag, the entire South American group known as Team Vamos celebrating becoming official agents. A tear rolling down Colombia’s face before another one, and then another one realizing as he perished the last thing he listened to was their greatest achievement as a team.
Italy was accessing the damages as she roamed around back only to hear the agonizing wail of Sweden M as he was being restrained by a few agents as Sweden F laid on a pile of bodies. That’s when her eyes laid upon Brazil carrying Peru the best she could to the other deceased and placing him down by Thailand and what was left of Venezuela. Colombia would follow the path Thailand mapped out for the cadets using a speeder cycle getting to the bunker and scanning the area. It was odd, they held them off long enough to get this far once she had gotten there she realized none of this area had even been grazed except a few stray shrapnel from aircraft. Moving her feet a certain way and tapping her hip an entrance would open as she kept her gun ready and went down quietly cutting her head lamp on and as she hit the bottom step she would be greeted with gunfire as she barely escaped the downpour. Giving them the signal that she was an ally they stopped firing as she met her eyes upon theirs seeing the fright and noticing that even some were shaking. She signaled them to follow her as China seemed to still be incapacitated, but still had Isis in her possession.
Two Days Later In A Briefing Call
“I am sorry for everyone’s loss who is attending this call. I am sure everyone is and it is being broadcasted as the attacks were highly planned to try and nab all of the god A.I. It has also come to my attention that the A.I known as Bellum and its holder escaped their isolation prison. My first question is, does anyone know where Pangea is?” Grey asked everyone specifically the country agents who were in the call as Pangea was such a foreign name at this point that the current group thought that person was a myth.
“No. No matter how much Isis searched she never found Pangea nor the A.I they possess” China said as she could feel the pain in her chest from the bruised ribs as she shuffled a bit.
“Grey, they attacked my family. They attacked people’s families and laid waste. You set this up and told us you had information. Tell us, so Jane and I can go home to our children.” Absol said as Grey nodded and took a deep breath before she would start talking again.
“Mastermind, my… sister wants to restart history and I am asking for everyone’s help so that we can come together to stop her. We won’t get any help from others outside the attacked groups, but maybe a few stragglers will believe us.” Grey said as Brazil chuckled to herself as her emotional wound was still bleeding.
“Time travel and then clone us? Classic, we stop it again or whatever.” Brazil said as most pretty much agreed that that would be easy since she needed the A.I.
Grey shook her head as she looked directly at her camera. “Not time Travel or cloning.” she seemed to get a few eyebrow raises and soldiers looking at one another if it wasn’t something like that. “The only way she can restart history is by starting back at square one. The Big Bang.”
To Be Continued
Hello there! Sorry this took what? 3 months. Work, I got a fun job outside of work, and then training for stuff. Then I decided I didn't like some parts and deleted and rewrote and all that other stuff. It's probably rough on the edges due to my ability to be consistent or doing it late as hell at night!
I hope you guys enjoyed it! It is RvB related just on an entirely different spectrum as an alternate universe beyond freelancer and all. So, uh, yeah? Posting to a sleeping Amino :joy: 🫡
