The naga stared at the hiking human hungrily from the tree above,due to a recent forest fire food had become scarce and in times of desperation nagas would occasionally choose humans as food but rarely.
Humans had things like guns and killing one would be more trouble than say a deer or other smaller forest critters but it was safe to say that the snake man was growing more animalistic with his starvation.
Muse A,the hiker was taking notes for a college project on how the disaster had affected wildlife when suddenly they were pounced on from behind and wrapped in a strong constricting grip.
They were in trouble if they didn’t think fast,with those jaws that could unhinge and swallow deer they could surely be snake food.
A managed to wiggle their arm loose just enough to hit the naga in the eyes with some bear mace,effectively blinded and hurt the creature let go with a scream.
A began to run away but noticed exactly how thin the naga was..a creature they could possibly interview might help with their research and they kinda felt bad even if they were almost lunch themselves.
There wasn’t much research on nagas at all because they were considered too dangerous and wild of a hybrid to mess with,but maybe finally humans and nagas could try to find an understanding.
